  1. Hey guys, it could be worse. My 2000 F150 has the outside temp gauge too, but it is usually about 10 degrees too warm. According to a couple different dealerships it seems the brilliant engineers put it too close to the engine and it gets extra heat from that. And yes, my Edge is high like everyone else's, but to be high by a 1 or 2 degrees I'm extremely happy with that. :hyper:
  2. I'm sitting at about 22 with about 65% hw, I don't step on it hard and I get the better mileage. I was just wanting to see what it would do if I babied it. Now that I know what it can do, I'll go back to how I prefer to drive which will drop my mileage down to 18 - 19, which is still better than my truck so I'm happy with it.
  3. "The 3 bar grill is what caught my eye first. The billet grill looks good but IMO the 3 bar looks better." ditto for me
  4. I don't have the Vista roof on my Edge, so I can't speak from personal experience. But, I did do a fair amount of research prior to getting my Edge, spoke with a lot of owners and read up here on the forums, most who I spoke to had the Vista roof and are happy with it and didn't have any problems. Although, there were quite a few who wished they didn't get it for all the problems they've had. A lot of them learned that the track the roof should be 'gliding' on didn't have any grease or if it did, it wasn't enough. Hence lots of crazy noises and it would stop moving on the track, friction is great for that. Once the track got greased properly at the dealership all was good. Only problem was it usually took a few trips to the dealership for it to be figured out...
  5. Mine drops out when I'm under any trees or bridges and not doing about 70MPH. I figure Sirius is best suited to those who are on the road a lot and not for those who live in the suburbs. I know I won't continue it when the subscription runs out.
  6. I've had mine for about 2 weeks now. We've had 90+ temps around here for part of that time and it took a few minutes to cool down, but not more than I expected. If yours isn't cooling then I'd take it in and have them test it.
  7. Mine is less than a week old and in the shop for this too...you'd think they would correct this problem prior to selling it so the consumer wouldn't be bothered by it. Just lowers initial satisfaction, especially when family and neighbors see the new ride, and in less than a week it's back in the shop for a few days...
  8. I liked the looks, doesn't look like much else on the road. I'm leasing mine for 24mos with xplan so the price was right too. I was fortunate enough to put about 1200miles on a rental Edge before I decided on getting one. Mark SEL + FWD Black on Black
  9. I drove an Edge SEL for about 1200 miles on vacation from Ohio to the Smokey Mountains in Tenn., ~1000 highway miles. I can't speak for the Explorer, but the Edge handled great on the highway and had great passing power. If you've ever driven through the hills in West Virginia or Virginia then you know what it means to have good power. Going up and down the Smokey Mountains it handled pretty good there too. I have an F150 and I was literally shocked at how good the Edge handled and right now I'm trying to decide whether I'm going to get an 07 or 08. I wish they offered the dark blue on the 07. If your unsure as to how it would do with your daily commute, try renting one for a week or weekend. My rental only cost me $258 for 10 days through Enterprise, it was money well spent.
  10. Anyone have any idea how much they are going to increase the prices on the '08 Edge? I'm looking at a SEL+ vs. Limited, seems the '08 Limited has everything and more than what I add as options on the '07 SEL+. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark
