  1. When I test drove my Edge, there was no dealer emblem, only the plastic license plates. Once I decided to buy, and it was taken back for detailing, it came back with a fresh new emblem. Luckily it was adhesive and pulled right off with no damage. There's nothing that bothers me more than dealer advertisements on a new car. A local dealer here now places their web address in white vinyl lettering on the back window. I sincerely hope those people are getting an extra discount to put up with something like that! -Brian
  2. I'm pretty sure you can call Sirius and get a username and password for internet listening. You may need the ESN # from your radio. See your manual to get this number. -Brian
  3. Are you talking about a radio with the Navigation LCD? If so, I have noticed that certain options go dark sometimes. I'm pretty sure it has to do with whether or not you are at a stop or moving at a specific speed. Just like the navigation won't let you enter addresses while moving, I noticed that it won't let you see the full Sirius Channel Guide while you're moving either. Just a safety thing, as far as I know. -Brian
  4. From Sirius: You need to purchase a SIRIUS Traffic compatible navigation system. In-car factory installed SIRIUS Traffic compatible navigation systems are currently offered on these models: Sebring** Avenger** Nitro** Wrangler** ** Incident information only; no speed/flow information It looks as if the Edge Nav is not compatible, at least not yet. Given the Ford and Sirius relationship, I would imagine we may see compatibility in the future, especially to compete with XM and OnStar. I really feel that this is one area in which the Edge Nav is lacking.
  5. Thanks for the tip, I picked one up tonight. It was exactly what I was looking for, plain black and a push-in rubber style that doesn't need a pin. And for $1.15, you really can't beat it. Thanks again, Brian
  6. I know it's been awhile since you had posted this, but I noticed the same thing when I did a system check the other day. I fully expected tire pressure to be one of the checks, but I didn't notice it. I didn't know that it claims it does in the manual. Anyone else have information on this? -Brian
  7. Bryce- Thanks for the link. That is the only one I came across as well. I was hoping to find something without the DrawTite logo on it, and I found a Hidden Hitch one also. I guess if that's all that's out there, I'll have to go with it. Now I just have to restrain myself from ordering a bunch of other stuff to justify the shipping. I agree that the extras with the tow package are worth the upgrade in themselves. We had a tough time finding the Edge my wife wanted, so we didn't even get to see one with a hitch in person until I finally found one over an hour away. I initially thought the hitch popped through the painted part of the bumper, but I was relieved to find it only intruded through the plastic where the exhaust tips also come out. In the end, my wife actually kind of laughed at me about it. She barely even noticed it. If anyone else knows of a retail store where I can pick one of these up, please let me know. Thanks, -Brian
  8. Hi everyone- My wife just bought an AWD SEL Plus in Creme Brulee, with all the toys. I didn't want the tow hitch initially, as I have an F150 and have no plans to tow with the Edge. However, after looking around, I found that the tow hitch was pretty much unavoidable in the color and options my wife wanted, at least this late in the model year. So now we have the tow hitch, but I was a little disappointed that Ford and the dealer had not provided any kind of hitch cover. Since we won't be using it, I really don't want dirt to start getting up in there. Plus, I'd like to hide it as much as possible since my wife wasn't thrilled about the look of it to begin with. Has anyone been able to find a plain black hitch cover that would fit the 1 1/4" Class II receiver? I thought this would be a sure thing at Advance Auto or Pep Boys, but no luck. Even JC Whitney couldn't find one for me. I know there are some nice options for branded hitch covers out there, but I would prefer something that protected the receiver and took attention away from it, rather than drawing more to it. Thanks in advance for any help! -Brian
