Chalk me up to having sync problems too...performing routine maintenance and now the system reboots two or three times and black screen of nothing...

I usually refill at 1/4 but in the spirit of finding out the accuracy of the fuel gauge I thought, what the hell!

Hey gang, I have officially owned my FWD 2011 Edge SEL for one month and thought I would share my fuel economy findings....these of course apply to me personally and may not reflect the fuel economy others. Number of tanks burned = 4. 55% city and 44% highway driving 24.1 MPG based on my calcualtions and NOT the computer. The computer is telling me 22.0 MPG. My driving style has been relatively consistant with smooth acceleration and shifts occurring at 3000ish RPMs. HWY speed = 70 MPH. Fuel used has been Mobile, Shell, BP and Shell - 87 octane. When the low fuel light says 0 miles to empty is means 0! -- 2 of the 4 tanks I pumped 17.6 gallons!

How long does it take for the brochure to get to you after you request it on the website?

And the final verdict....drum roll please! The dealer tells me the switch was not plugged in! They plugged in the switch .50 hours of labor, covered under warranty and paid for my rental...back on the road! I hope nothing else is unplugged! Now then, time to enjoy The Edge and report back with positive experiences like the 25MPG out of the first tank of gas! Well, it's been six hours now....the dealer still doesn't have any leads on this window issue....probably electrical...*sigh* Now driving a Mercury Grand Marquis...and let me tell you....it's GRAND!

That was the first thing I checked... The other three windows work fine...the passenger window rolled down, but not back up, and the switch that controls the passenger window from the driver's side and on the passenger side will not move it.... 2 bad switches failing at the same time? very strange for a one week old Edge.

That was the first thing I tried... Then, with the engine off I also noticed that when I depressed the power button on the other 3 windows the dome light dimmed, but when trying the passenger window the dome light did not dim... I would agree that it could be a switch, but isn't it odd that the passenger window control on the driver's side AND the passenger window control on the passenger side both don't work? Yet the window would go down....very strange... I'm a computer guy and trouble shoot computer issues all day long, but this has me baffled! And on a week old Edge too...

Any thoughts on this one?! Just a little shocked in a one week old vehicle! Of course anything that has moving parts is prone to breakage whether it's new or old...just strange that the window was able to power down but not up, and only the passenger window??

Well, I just burned through my first tank of gas on my 11 SEL...computer reported 22.1 MPG, but using the miles divided by gallons formula, I got 25.3...not too bad for a vehicle this size! I drive a mix of city/hwy in fact 10 miles of stop and go and 11 miles of interstate daily. The dealer filled it up with QT 87 octane regular, and I just filled with Shell 87 octane regular...will report back next Sunday with results.

Hey gang! I just picked up my 2011 Ford Edge SEL last Monday and today - the weather is so nice I put the windows down...when I went to put them up, the passenger window will not roll up! Does anyone have any thoughts before I spend the day at the dealer tomorrow?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Brian
