Well after two years of footing around and denile I finally got my edge 2007 Creme Buele w/ Tan interior AWD SEL PLUS all options but only basic 6 cd stereo and it has the BAMR. only 49k miles and a clean carfax/accident history/along with a pile of recipts paid 18,400 for it so far initial thoughts after two weeks of ownership... Diffrent...big inside BAMR AWESOME! tan interior + ARMY is a dirty mix cant wait to see how well it handles this winter my proj mod list if it doesnt take money away from wifes f-150, our motorcycles, kids, and of course me renting aircraft/track time mats seatcovers ventshades leds stereo avic120 most likely might do a power rear gate hood struts cai tires rims if anyone is near Fort Drum, thats where I am currently serving, parents live in Detroit area....I'm an aviator in the ARMY, happily married and love tons of fast toys and slow ones too! just thought id say hello

Once I purchase my 08 limited I will have all speakers, sub, and amp for sale... man u need to finish those boxes in that liv-in room! I got two 6' packed with a jl 15 jl 183 way, 2 concentric cones and 1 4 1/4 mid for my tv all amped on 2 1000.1 1 500.1 and a 240/3...it sounds great....do you have any digital processing on the channels?? crossovers??? man way to much for my taste but...... BTW what is the door depth???for the speaker?

I can easily get a module to adapt the steering wheel controlds to work with the radio I guess what I am wondering is what would I lose getting a non oem raido....I know it provides awd info axis to sync -most good aftermarket nav packages can bluetooth so no real big deal there also the hvac controls, are those tied in with oem radio or seprate to its system? ( I am talking about the steering wheel ones ) from what I read it almost seems like the nav system is lacking most of what I am used to and the speakers would need a good update and a 90wt sub??? I run more in my 3 ways then that.... IS SYNC REMOVABLE??? I could sell all the factory stuff and that might be my way out...... As far as the huge loss of power, I get some of it back in gas saveing and the rest between my motorcycle and when I restore the trans am (next huge project) THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!

Your best bet is it is either a loose connection or a faulty part in the system....I know a lot about hi end audio but very lil about OEM stuff other then its all junk..... I would take it to the dealer and let them sniff at it then they will most likely tell you to come back or try to fix it sooner then your first LOF.... This is what kinda sucks about my choice I want the limited but then I am gonna have to get rid of the stereo somehow..... TAKE IT UP WITH THE DEALER, its your brand new car and your right to be 'jammin'

I am looking at getting an edge 6-9mos from now. I looked at the 08' info packet and it seems for what I want a LIMITED AWD is my only option as I want both the prem package and seating one. I need to know what you think of the following: -note this will be my first ford in 14 years so hope you can help. 1. I am forced to get the audiophile system and was wondering exactly how GOOD this would compare to say a pair of BA 60's on a jl 300.4 with a jl1000.1 on two 12's??? I am gonna assume that the stereo will be OK and the speakers good for two months max before they take there plunge. I listen to music loud and often switch genres and most of it is mp3's. my current deck is an eclipse 8550 fully moded... 2. Knowing most likely that the factory unit will not satisfy my needs, is there a way to either factory delete it or should I just try to outright sell it??? (ebay etc...) 3. If I go to an aftermarket setup what information will I lose??...ie AWD display? etc...... 4. Has anyone hooked up a VIPER alarm yet?? I have one in my current vehicle and wondering whats involved in an install??? -I think my best course of action is to look to the non OEM navi/music units like the avic's or such....I noticed a few write-ups around on it. 5. For those with AWD like it? Is it a smooth system or????? what gas mileage are you getting? , for what type of driving and how many miles on vehicle??? 6. Does anyone have any prices on the 08' stuff yet not just vehicle but options as well?? 7. Has anyone come from a hi performance vehicle to this?? if so what are your thought??? I currently drive a 400hp truck (dodge Dakota r/t) need to move on from it though..... ------ I took a test ride on sat of a 07 FWD SEL plus and was not extremely impressed but of the vehicles I am looking at it feels the best... If they are true hids you would of had to add ballests as well as new bulbs so doubt yours are true HIDS ALSO I noticed someone said the mkx had a revolveing light HID fixture would it be a direct swap to the edge????

I have NEVER owned a vehicle with auto lights and was wondering if you can retain the automatic features with the HIDS?????

I am still 'shopping' around but pretty sure the edge is a fit for what I want. Currently my daily driver is a 2000 Dodge Dakota r/t club cab with about 400hp and a lot of nice junk in it. I am having a huge hit in the pocket in the fact that I really only get some 13mpg at best and a range not pleasing me in this vehicle. My fiancé drives a f-150 and I am not generally a FORD person, my entire family back home drives fords but till about a week ago I thought it was nutz. my first two vehicles were fords a beat up ford f-50 lasted me 10 days till it died on me and a 87' aero-terd which made it thru a lot of hell but eventual surcame to my divining demands and abuses as a HS student. I have had a list of cars and trucks since the early two vehicles and am now looking for something a lil more tamer, dignified, and more better on the pocket. I am currently trying to sell my truck if anyone interested (yeah right) I own a 1973 Trans Am 1981 TA 2006 Triumph Daytona 675 and maybe an edge coming soon! ----------------------------------------------------- a lil about me I guess late 20's successful airline pilot and general speed freak, finally found a woman worth being around and with (long story) and love riding the hell outta my motorcycle when not in the sky. got a load of student debt to pay off and soon will be looking for a house as renting is getting nowhere fast. I have a lot of experience with what I call high performance vehicles that are in the street category so if I do get an edge will surely not have it stock for long!
