  1. We are coming to the end of our regular Ford ESP. Does anyone have any experience with, or review comments on, the Ford Continued Service Plan (CSP)?
  2. Interesting subject. Have a 2010 Edge AWD LMTD, w/23,350 miles. We have the oil/filter change done every 5K miles at our dealership (Lakeview Ford, BC, MI), and also have them check tire balance, and perform a tire rotation at the same time. It works out well for us, and we kill three birds with one stone at the same time.
  3. 2010 Ford Edge AWD, 3.5, o/a 21.4K miles. Trip last week from Tipton, IA, to Sturgus, MI. 24.2 mpg at refueling stop. Speed maintained on cruise at 69 & 74 mph. At least two slowdowns allowing for construction.
  4. (Transcribed from 2010 Edge - Battery) 03/08/12 - Have 2010 Edge AWD LMTD, w/17,635 miles. Dealer (Lakeview Ford, BC, MI) dead battery changeouts at 8,572 miles - 17 January 2011, and 17,618 miles - 07 March 2012. Warranty work. That's three batteries, counting the factory original, to date. Update: 21.4K miles as of 7/16/12. No problems noted thus far. Also, the last battery the dealership installed carries a CCA rating of 650.
  5. Completed Ford Navigation Map Update, Version 5.1X yesterday, on our 2010 AWD Edge (18.7K miles). Included in the update package, were two software application DVDs, and two North America Nav-Map DVDs. Note: Nav map DVD No. 2, included a 30 minute "Gracenote database update". Installation of all four data DVDs took approx 4.5 hours, and went flawlessly. Vehicle idled throughout the installation process, and used approx 1.24 gallons of gas. Took it our for a cruise afterwards, and it ran like a charm. No problems noted.

  7. Interesting questions. As far as chips go, checkout GForce website: http://www.gfchips.com/fordedge.aspx. I've been curious about the "chip improvement issue" myself, but am still thinking about it. Re horse power: I believe K&N suggests an hp between 10 - 11 hp, with their big air filter system. 8. We have a 2010 Edge AWD. The only light bulb issue we've had, concerned the right-side backup light, which worked part time. We took it into our Ford service department (Lakeview Ford, BC, MI) and explained the issue. They studied the problem and stumbled on the fact that, that particular bulb type was incorrect, and had been originally installed at the factory. They procured and installed the correct bulb. Problem solved. No further issues to date. - Forthome
  9. Have had our 2010 AWD 2 years, going on 17K miles, and only have had to replace the battery (warranty). So far, so good. - DT
  10. 2-3 gallons to top off our 2010 Edge Limited has applied since we got ours in Spring 2010, and it doesn't matter what service station we get our gas at. It would seem that this top-off issue is a common characteristic of the Edge (at least through 2010) family. - Doug
  11. Must have screwed up my first attempt at a reply. Anyway, we got our 2010 Edge Limited in the Spring of 2010, and now have 16K miles on it. No complaints, and our Ford dealer's service department has been top-notch so far. Hope your experience has been much the same. - Doug
  12. K&N now offers a cold air filter for the Edge (ours is a 2010), PN 77-2574KS, and a filter wrap (choice of colors) PN RF-1020DR (for the red filter wrap). Haven't got one yet, but it's on the list!
