Edgy one

Well I have to sat that I too am very disapointed in the Edge. We have driven Fords forever and were looking at an import Nissan or the Edge. I made a mistake. Even though almost 100% of the MFT equiped Edges have issues i still bought one. And for the most part the dealer has had ours almost as much as we have. Mine too has a hard shift issue and has 5k miles on it. Has been back 4 times and had 2 APIM computers and three updates. Seems Ford still does not have a handle on the MFT. I should have bought the Nissan. It was cheaper and therer are no known issues. I can pretty much guarntee to anyone who buys a Ford Edge you better like the dealership cause you will spend many hours there getting the MFT worked on. Oh, and now our head liner is falling down over the passenger side front seat. Nice vehicle.

Welcome Back I drove a 2010 Edge for a month and loved it so bought a 2011. There is a big difference in handling and comfort. Not to mention all the cool electronics.

Congrats on the new Sport. FORD really did a great job on this one. I love my 11 Limited AWD. And we are in the middle of a blizzard in OK.

Yay another new Edge Owner. Congrats and many mile of troublr free driving? Not too sure on what the 202A has. The limited AWD with 302A is what I have. It has the big Sony Radio, navagation. My Ford Touch heated seats lighted door sill plates cargo area thing that i threw out. (cheap) HID head lamps and the LED front lights that serve no real purpose other than to look way cool going down the road and lighted in the garage. Good luck with yours and I hope you get it soon.

Wow, ok you guys have me beat in the snow arena. We finally got a couple inches of snow and somw ice to drive on. Usually only my 4X4 pick up makes it out of where we live. But my AWD 2011 Edge did better than that truck. Nice snow pics.. our snow is already gone. And it looks like yous is going to be around a while. Have fun in the snow.

After my updates my volume was too low. I found that adjusting the volume control while the car is talking works and adjusting the volume on your phone. You may want to try this.. Congrats on your Edge.

Finally got my Edge back from the Dealer. Turned out the recall was done and the long term item that kept my cool Edge away was the MFT. After trying to install the updates the APIM failed and needed to be replaced. Well Ford Electronics now will not release an APIM computer untill it has the latest software and passes the internal checks. Well I now have it after 8 days and all appears to be working well. Maybe too well. Now the collision warning system seems to be too agressive. It comes on now when there is no real danger to me. And if you touch the brakes with the red light on you get full brake pressure even you lightly touch the brakes. This may be a future problem but right now i am happy to have ny Edge back home.

:banghead:Now I am very Sad No Edge as promised today. Guess he part came in for the recall and now something wont clibrate so they need another one. Looks like Tues or Wed? Been Six days without my Edge

Happy New Year ! And Welcome to the Edge Family. I too have always owned a Ford and most likely always will. The Edge is so cool and does so many things its like driving a video game. Do you have the adaptive cruise control? That is neat as well. I can't keep my hands off the car. I bought it for my wife but I want to drive it all the time. Still no snow in OK.

Richey, I found it. This is way cool. Now all i need is snow and an empty parking lot. Oh and my Edge back. Got called in on the Recall. Should have it Monday.
