  1. Welcome to the site. We love our Edge so far. Got some things I would like to do to it as far as lighting since ours is the SE model. Other than that I like how it is.
  2. Thanks for the compliment. Really wish warm weather would get here. Every time I clean it up they put that freaking Brine down on the roads here then it does nothing but rain. Oh well when it does get warm it will get a really good top to bottom cleaning.
  3. We love ours. I really liked the Sports but not the price tag that came with them. We have the SE model with some SEL upgrades on it.
  4. Our sales guy had us program ours before we left the lot. Not even sure what the factory default is. I think you can set up to 4 codes if I remember correctly.
  5. Well I cleaned up our Edged today following the how to on detail image. I now have 3 wash buckets. One for the car wash, one is the rinse bucket, and one for the wheels and tires. Got all of the snow and salt off that had been on it. It turned out great. Still need to polish it and put a sealant on it. I did use my spray detail when wiping it down. Here are the picks of it all cleaned up. They are also in my gallery. Thanks to Canuck for all the tips so far.
  6. Welcome. The Edge is a great and my wife loves hers. I get to drive ours sometimes. I really wanted a sunroof in ours but not for the extra money we would had to pay. It gets hot here in TN so It is a good thing I guess. We have about 600 miles on ours so far. Bought ours on 31 Dec 2010.
  7. Welcome. My wife and I own a 2011 SE model. Drove all kinds and this was the one that fit our needs. Besides can not go wrong with a Ford. I feel your pain. We have been hit harder this year in TN with snow.
  8. Thanks Canuck. I really need to get on my truck. It will need to be compounded then go from there. I have only used a clay bar once and that was to remove overspray on my wifes S-10 she had. Now just gotta convince the boss to get the needed cleaning supplies to keep our new ride nice.
  9. What is the purpose of the clay bar on a new vehicle? You think you could do a step by step write up on how you detailed your Edge?
  10. There is a good write up on how to wash your vehicle. It is at http://www.detailedimage.com I plan on using that method from now on. I use Kit car wash right now but I use Meguires for everything else.
  11. If your Edge is only a month old it is under Warranty. The warranty is there and the dealer should make it right. Ford reimburses them for any repairs or replacements to the Edge. I went through this with our HHR we ad. Never will I buy another GM product again unless it is from the 50's. Your rim looks like it has a rock chip in it. Once chrome rims get rock chips and they are clear coated it will continue to get worse. The 22 inch rims are nice but it is a bigger area to get damaged. As for the wheel locks the dealer needs to just put them on and be done with it. I mean that is something simple to keep a customer happy.
  12. Yes but those would be nice as well. The wiring should be in place as all models use the same wiring harness pretty much. So when and if I add in the LEDs to the front of the Edge should not be a problem.
  13. Have you traced all the speaker wires? It is possible when the wiring was put in that it got nicked and is grounding out somewhere on the door or frame. Electrical issues are a pain and it takes some time to track them down.
  14. Congrats on the new ride. We have the same color but ours is the SE model. I would love to have those rims but not the price tag that goes with the tires when they wear out. My wife loves our Edge and is very happy with it.
