Got our upgrade in the mail a few days ago. It was attractively packaged and the instructions clear. I initiated the upgrade, but it errored-out with a message about possible corrupted files. I chatted on-line with someone from Ford's MyFordTouch help desk, who advised me to do a reset first. After doing so, I was able to then proceed with the performance upgrade. My first impressions are VERY FAVORABLE!. Ford seems to have gotten it right this time. While we were generally pleased with the stability of the system recently (after several updates to the system), it is now much more responsive and the screens look much better. Many of my annoyances have been resolved. In particular: It is nice that the volume controls now permit fine increments, and Indexing of my SD music card is now very swift.

Our 2011 has this feature - comes up in the left message center apparently. However, the factory default is set at 10,000 miles. Since I change our oil every 5K, it hasn't come up. I think 10K is too long between oil changes, even with better oils and engines. The service guy said that they could change the function so that it comes up each 5K. I'll probably take him up on this at the next opportunity.

Have you received the mounts yet? I contacted the vendor (China) and he sent me a picture of the parts. I'd love to learn about your installation - what it looks like, how difficult it was to installing the mounting hardware, whether it is functional, high quality, etc.? Tom

We have one and, while is functions, it is an awful design. Our former vehicle was a Ford Escape, which has a much better designed cargo cover -- and I don't see why it wouldn't work with the fold-down seats. Ford cheaped out on this and they should fix it!

Our Edge went into this mode this morning. Plus none of the touch buttons on the center cluster work. As a result, the "fix" of tapping the brake 5 times and the hazard warning 4 or 6 times won't work. The capacitive touch hazard button doesn't work, nor do the radio or temperature controls. Everything works from the steering wheel cluster, however. Ford just got badly dinged from Consumer Reports for issues with its Sync system. We've been pretty happy with it until now, but I can see how issues like this drive customers nuts! Relying upon Microsoft for a vehicle operating system appears to have been a mistake!

How large is your music collection? When I put an SD card in my Edge it took a very long time to index it -- several hours and only seemed to index it while the system was active (rather than when the vehicle was idle, which would have been nice). Things were slow when indexing and, for example, Sync wouldn't recognize anything I uttered. Once the indexing was done, everything functioned as expected. My music collection on the SD card is about 10 megs. I'm guessing your Zune collection is much larger...

Really? My rear view camera comes on instantaneously when the shifter is placed in reverse, and changing songs, etc. are pretty snappy. You should probably take your Edge in if you are having such delays.
