  1. I think I am going to buy the control module to play with. I am trying to figure out how to tap into the CAN2 line. Anyone have any suggestions?
  2. My first idea was to only make the shock rates adjustable without being adaptive while driving. The cost and the risk of the system not being recognized by the Edge being the main reason behind my thinking. I might just buy the control module above and see if the car will find it. Then I could play around with Forscan and see if I could get it to work. I would use simple fixed resistors for the ride height and shocks. The service manual gives the proper ranges for the resistance. I have not given up.
  3. The Lincoln mirrors are attached to the sheet metal not the small triangle by the glass. The sheet metal profile would have to be close. Not to mention the replacement part for the plastic Edge mount. Too bad, it would have made things pretty easy.,
  4. I am not sure that the Hydrogen is any more dangerous then having 10 to 20 gallons of highly flammable gasoline on board.
  5. This is on my spring to do list. HAZ, do you have access to the wiring diagram that will give me the part number for the female connector? Is is C4044, left rear damper solenoid. Thanks
  6. We added the hood blanket and engine cover to our 2019 SEL. It made a noticeable, but not dramatic decrease in sound. The 2 liter is pretty noisy. Not the engine itself, but the air intake design is bad and causes a lot of high pitch noise. Ford says it is not a defect. Knowing what I know now, I would still add the two parts if I bought an Edge without them.
  7. Any update on this. I may want to do the same thing this summer on my ST. In the Beefnuts video, what is the red brace in the cargo area?
  8. So far so good. I cleared the DTC an it has not come back.
  9. Got the check engine light. Found the P0461-00:AC from the PCM P0461-C from OBDII. The Status says, DTC maturing-intermittent at time of request. I will clear the codes and see what happens. Hopefully it is a glitch in the system, not a problem in the making.
  10. I gave up on the Ford parts, both original and updated. I use TOGGLER TC wall anchors. I cut off enough of the vertical fins, that help grab drywall, to allow the toggle to go through a 3/8 inch fender washer. I hot glued 1" OD x 1/2" tall x 1/2" ID nylon spacers (McMaster #94639A876) to the inside of the covers. I inserted the toggler where the old Ford part was and then used the toggler tool to set the toggle. I did this two years ago and all are sill holding strong.
  11. I am pretty sure I got the Advanced Auto version of these. I ended up having to shave a milometer of plastic off the ends of the two engagement thingies. (not sure what they called) YMMV
  12. That makes sense. I guess you need a bigger freezer. 😀
  13. Maybe you could try holding some ice cubes over the camera area of the windshield. Or just block it with a post it note. I am not sure what causes the heater to be activated, but blocking the camera is a good start. John
  14. Did you have to do anything in Forscan, or did this work just by plugging it in?
  15. I don't think this is available on my 2019 ST. I wonder if it could be turned on with Forscan?
  16. There is a slight chance that the rear license plate is loose. I had a rattler that only happened at higher speeds. I did not figure it out until the plate almost fell off. The Ford capture nuts are not very good. It is easy to over tighten and break them.
  17. I can confirm a couple of things with regard to getting a new key, if you only have one key. The dealer van just left and the new remote is working perfectly. The cheap ebay remotes work fine. At least for my 2019. https://www.ebay.com/itm/383672810625 They are not Ford parts, but very good knockoffs. As dabansta says above. A used remote can be reprogrammed. Total cost $123 for the key and programming. Much better then the $300+ the dealer wants.
  18. Does the third key have to be new, or can a used key be used. In my case the used key would be from an edge of the same year.
  19. I used to put the Silverstar Ultras on my Edge company cars. Much better then OEM. An absolute no brainer IMHO.
  20. Wubster100, I did the cornering fog light mod in Forscan a while ago. It is on the same page as the fog light Bambi mod. I think there is a reference to it on this site somewhere, but I could not find it. John
  21. Great write up. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to hearing how you like the setup after they are completely broken in. I need to do the brakes on my ST soon.
  22. This gives me a lot to think about. The ABS module is not that expensive. Putting it in would be a pain on my bad back.
  23. Interesting. Does this also make it Stop and Go ACC? How much programing did you have to do.
