  1. This is correct. I just finished installing my remote start, "plug and play" and this was the case on the 2011. I purchased the kit on line for $180.00 which include 2 OE key fobs, (just had them cut) and a hood switch for $18.00. Installation took about 1/2 hour. which included the time to reprogram the keys. I then had the dealer activate the remote start feature on the vehicle computer. They charged me $39.00 so my remote starter system cost $237.00. I had 3 dealers quote me $550 - 700. Works great!
  2. Has anyone found a chrome hood protector/deflector? My dealer tells me that Ford only offers the smoke one.
  3. Is there any way to simply turn the TMPS off when using snows without sensors?
  4. I have the same set up on me Edge and just purchased a set of P 235/65 17 tires and rims. Snow tires I bought used and are Nokian WR SUV. Rims are an aftermarket 17 inch alloy. Not a pure snow tire, but everyone who has them says they are great in the snow. The AWD along with these tires should be more than enough for me. I live in snow belt so I will see how good they really are. Also, I did not purchase the tire pressure sensors for these tires so the dash warning light will be on while I have these tires on the vehicle. My dealer said that it would be ok provided I didn't mind the light on constantly. At at cost of about $300.00 (tire rack) I can learn to ignore the light. Good luck with your selection of snow tires.
  5. Looking through the manual I found that the oil change interval is every 10,000km or 5,000km for severe conditions. Does anyone use the 10,000km interval?
  6. Does the Tire pressure sensors come with the wheels?
  7. Would you be interested in selling just the wheels and sensors? I will be putting snow tires on them. Let me know what you think
  8. Do you need to add the tire pressure sensors for each wheel? I've checked the TIRE RACK web site and they recomend adding the sensors to the winter tire and wheel package. Their's sells for around $250.00
