    Fuel Type?

RON Reaserch Octane Number. (Used in Europe and elswhere in gas stations) MON Motor Octane Number. AKI Anti-Knock Index. This is the number that is posted on the gas station in the USA as "Octane". It is derived as (RON + MON)/2
  5. here's the window sticker of my edge. the price seems to be too much. in average I am getting 19mpg. best regards rene Ford Edge Sport AWD - Rene Seiler.pdf
  6. Just a quick update after 23k miles. No problems at all with the 3.7 V6. We just ignore the ticking if there is one. I can't tell. Best regards from Germany
  7. Yes, it's a German rear fog. It is required to get a German "Zulassung" (permission to drive the Edge on public roads). I don't think it can be modded, because I saw similar ones on other U.S. cars...
  8. Hello, this morning my wife catch this Edge in the city of Munich (Germany). Who are you? btw. nice car! :-)

    MPG Question

In Germany you can go as fast as your Edge can go. Usually we drive at 80MPH on the "autobahn" (similar to a US interstate). after 22k miles we get 20MPG running on E10 gas.
  10. I just have to say, that I love listening Pandora while driving my Edge. Tonight I drove from downtown Munich back to my house and it was just great! :-) That system really fulfils my expectation of a car entertainment system. Btw.: Pandora outside of the U.S. !? Yes, it's possible
  11. I owned a 2003 2.7 5cyl 205hp turbo diesel for 8 years. it's nice and powerful, but I love my 3.7 v6. The sound is awesome. :-) I am willing to pay some extra bucks for the gas...
  12. i noticed much better mpg with small wheels on my AWD. to compare the numbers you should post your wheel setup as well ;-)
  13. Could you post some pics from the inner side of the rims? I am looking for rims with the part number(s) 8T431007EA and/or 8T431007FA (18x7.5J ET44). Thx
  14. maybe this helps ... http://www.kfz-tech.de/Engl/VerglBenzDies.htm
  15. the mpg are much better. I owned a 2003 Mercedes CLK 320 (gas, 218hp) and a 2004 Mercedes CLK 270 CDI (diesel, 205hp). The 270 CDI had much better mpg results, but my impression was that the CLK 320 got more power on the road. You have to feel it yourself.
  16. if I want to get a ride with a diesel car, I call a taxi here in Germany :-) Last winter I had the 18" wheel on the Sport and I got 26mpg while cruising on a German Autobahn with 55mph. That's pretty good for the 3.7 AWD.
  17. Could you post some pics from the inner side of the rims? I am looking for rims with the part number(s) 8T431007EA and/or 8T431007FA (18x7.5J ET44). Thx
  18. I am running on 22" and 18" Pirellis and rotate as shown in the manual ....
  19. enjoy the (bloody) german car :-) we're Germans, but that was no option for us. VW, BMW or Mercedes are too expensive here in Germany. we don't mind the mpg. :-)
