My 2008 Edge has a factory towing package. Part of that package is a rather large trans cooler.

I have been wondering about this myself as I purchased a 08 Edge last summer myself.

Torque steer is caused by the front drive shafts being of different lengths. Any FWD or AWD will pull in the direction of the longer driveshaft. In the case of the Edge or MKX, the trans is to the left of the engine, therefore, the right driveshaft is longer. The pull you feel is normal. The harder you accelerate, the harder the pull.

My 08 Edge has the optional factory 20" rims & tires. The ride and handling are great. Any reason you want to change the rim size, I'm just curious?

Just bought a '08 Edge Limited two weeks ago. I just love it! I was an auto tech for 32yrs, switched careers last year, so I do almost all my own maintenance and repairs. Last week I changed the engine oil & filter. I prefer the synthetic oil. Changed trans fluid and cabin air filter. The cabin air filter was packed full of small leafs and dust. I am sure it was never checked or changed. Also cleaned the battery cables. The positive terminal was a ball of corrosion, a no start waiting to happen! Looking forward to meeting new people here and learning about your vehicles! :D
