  1. I understand that but I don't see the icon on FM frequencies I KNOW have subcarriers, which is why I didn't think my package included HD radio. HD isn't mentioned on SEL's on http://www.ford.com/crossovers/edge/models/ and I don't see it as an available option which is also why I didn't think I had it. But that little icon popped up for a second again today when I started my car. After a second it went away and never came back. So I am stumped.
  2. No, I've had XM radio since 2004 so I know the difference between Sirius and HD.
  3. You've had only six problems in four months?? Wow, I have that many each week. They updated my software (took 3.5 days at the dealer) but it only settled down a little - rather than locking up several times every day, it's only a few times a week now.
  4. This happened to me again today. I started up the car and pressed the power button and when it came on, I saw the yellow HD symbol in the bottom left again. Was there was at least two seconds but then went away.
  5. I have just the stock system that comes with package 202A so I don't know who actually makes any of it. It's not only the music that distorts, voice prompts and phone calls also do. It's kind of a pain now that in order to have a phone call that doesn't sound like crud because of the volume, I have to shut the roof and my windows so I can turn down the volume.
  6. When that happens to me, I go back to the screen that caused it to begin with and it usually goes away
  7. I have a 2011 SEL with the 202A package. That doesn't come with HD radio, right? For a brief moment yesterday I saw a little yellow HD Radio icon pop on and off in the lower left corner while cycling through FM1 and FM2. But AFAIK, I don't have HD Radio, right? I couldn't get it to happen again.
  8. Just curious how much volume you can get before you start to hear distortion. I have the stock system and I can go just a little below 50% before getting distorted. I would have expected it to be higher since the system goes plenty loud.
  9. I don't have the nav system or an iPhone but I do have the exact same problems. I have 2.11 and this still happens to me at least once a week. The only solution I've found is to do a Master Reset. Tech Support tells me I can also pull the fuse or the negative battery cable if the Master Reset doesn't work.
  10. I spent three hours on the phone with Sync Tech Support yesterday because of the Browse issue. She was able to replicate it along with me every time but found no documentation that they knew about this before. She also kept checking with other people there. So hopefully this means that it is something that will actually be addressed some day.
  11. I have the same question. But I don't think mine is a filename issue since my files were all ripped from my (store-bought) CD's using either Windows Media Player or iTunes. When I view my USB files on my computer, I see the album art for each song. But now nothing is showing up when I play them in the car. And when using Gracenote, how does does that acquire album art? Wouldn't it need an Internet connection? Thanks.
  12. I had 2.11 installed in my new Edge last week and I am still having problems. Can anyone tell me if they have similar problems? 1) While using a USB flash drive, album art does not show up on the regular screen where it should on the right; that area is blank. However if I touch that area and it brings me to the screen with the filename and the composers, etc., the album art does appear perfectly there. But then when I go back to the main screen (the screen with the Rewind and Pause and FFW controls), I only get a partial music note symbol where the album art should be. 2) Also while using a USB flash drive, is doesn't understand when I hit the voice button and say "play artist <whatever>" or "play track <whatever>". It instead pops open the menu of what I can say. Are these no longer supported voice commands? 3) When I hit Browse on Sirius and get to the channel guide, I cannot open all of the categories to see the channels within. It seems that only the categories with a few channels open (such as Christian). But if I try to open something like the Rock category, it won't. Thanks.
  13. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...call Sirius?!?!? lololololol You're funny :-)
  14. I don't know for sure what they did. I went in there because the system was freezing several times a day. According to the site, this is what I now have:
  15. Since my system was updated by the dealer last week, should I still need that?
  16. When I go to the Channel Guide and it opens the list of categories, the categories with the larger amounts of channels don't open. For example if I try to open the Rock category, it says that it is loading/updating (or whatever it says) but after a few seconds that window goes away and I am back to where I started, whereas if I open something with a small amount of channels such as the Christian category, it opens and displays the channels within. Does anyone have this problem? Is it a known bug or common thing? I just had MFT updated at the dealer (it took 3.5 days!) so AFAIK I have the most recent version (but I haven't been able to verify it since syncmyride.com is down this weekend). Thanks.
  17. I am still amazed that my top of the line SEL doesn't have memory seats or memory mirrors. I was leasing lower-end Chevy's that were about $7-8k less expensive for the past 10+ years and have never not had them.
  18. Just the hours? The minutes are ok? Mine drifts by several minutes every few days and sometimes doesn't hold the update I do.
  19. But with headlights/taillights being automatic, that is a moot point.
  20. FWIW my '11 SEL does not have any noisemaking alarm or flashing light or anything. Supposedly the only anti-theft it has is the chip in the key.
  21. I just bought a 2011 SEL. Would I be able to have this done at the dealer? Coming from Chevy's for the past 15 years (which have had DRL's as standard equipment), one of the questions I asked the saleswoman was about DRL and she said "no, Ford doesn't do that".
