  1. We looked for the diagram for quite some time when I worked with a shop for my audio makeover and never found anything. What I do know is that you do not want to get rid of that sony amplifier. You should tap into the speaker wiring after it exits the Sony amp and use a speaker level to line level converter. I am not sure if the JBL processor is capable of that or if it will go between the head unit and your amps. Anyhow, point is that I could never find a wiring diagram. The just had to use a line tester to figure out what the wires were doing.

  2. I changed my mind on some bulbs so I have spares to sell. I have one pair of 3157 amber turn signal bulbs here in my picture

A pair of these bulbs are sold for $49.98 and are SUPER bright. They are eye catching to say the least and look spectacular behind the clear lenses in the front. For the pair, I'll take the first $25 plus shipping that is offered.

The second set is a pair of 3157 44 chip white LED lights for a set of your brake lights and can be seen in my picture

These lights sell for $16.99 each but I will take the first $18 plus shipping for the pair. They are much much brighter than the incandescent red brake bulbs. I would venture to guess that they are 3 times brighter and with all the LEDs facing in so many directions they reflect off the light housing reflectors very well. I still have a pair of these as one set of my brake lights but I changed the upper pair to the same lights but with a flashing technology that does a three quick flash mode when I hit the brakes. Otherwise they are the same. All my lights in and out are LEDs and I can vouch for the quality of all three sets of lights above.

I also have a set of 921 reverse lights that are 5 watt cree bulbs and are light flashlights running out of the back. Below is a pic of what they look like on at night.

Here is a link to the store where I bought the lights so nobody thinks I'm just making up the prices I paid for the bulbs. http://superluminati...m/3157_3156.htm and http://superlumination.com/906.htm for the reverse lights

  3. Oh and by the way, fuse 37 was the one I chose before the suggestion fish. That's too funny. It's easy to get to for starters and then when I tested it I found that it only came on after the second push of the start button. That was good enuf for my purposes. For any interested I used the blend mount which can be found at blendmount.com. It mounts to the stem of the rear view mirror and then the radar detector sits just below the mirror. I LOVE it! I'll add a pic of it to my gallery soon.

  4. I was able to easily get it done last night. C_bova was right. It did not require removal of any trim or removal of the headliner. There was tons of space to punch the wire up under the edge of the headliner and plenty of space between the rubber weather strip and the a-pillar trim to run the wire down to the fuse box. I have the direct wire power cord with the built in mute button and power indicator for both beltronics and escort radar detectors so it was never in my plan to do a direct wire tap to the mirror or headliner. Thanks for the suggestion Mr. mcclure but that setup such as done by kansas city 300c would not work for my situation.

  5. Anyone run a hardwire all the way down the side pillars and down to the fuse box? I have the hardwire kit that can be purchased to go along with the escort and beltronics. It hooks into the side of the detector with a RJ45 plug and has both a power lead and a remote mute button with some LEDs. I wanted to do this rather than just tapping into the mirror or map light because I like the idea of a remote mute switch. I'm wondering if nine has blazed this path and has any advise for running wire along the headliner and then down the front pillar. Anyone take it's while doing it? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  6. ******SOLD*****

That center channel Sony in your Edge is junk. If you don't believe me it's very easy to pop the grill off and remove the speaker. Take a look at it. It's bottom of the line. I have the solution. I purchased a pair of Infinity 3.5" dual cone speakers and obviously only need one of the pair. The model is the

Infinity Reference 3032cf 3.5-Inch, 75-watt High Performance Two-Way Loudspeaker. I know it fits because I've already put one to use and it sounds great.

The first PM for $20 plus a few bucks for shipping can have it and you don't have to buy a pair only to end up with an extra speaker like me!

  7. I have a client with a custom shop who has been trying to talk me into putting on a universal under-body in line turbo that would prob do 75-100 hp but the cost installed would be nearly $4k. That's just too much for a universal kit in my opinion. What does something like that Mustang kit run? Any idea?

On the same note, if SCT would get off their asses and get their software updated we could get the custom tunes and get rid of that damn speed limiter. I'm betting a custom tune with a high flow exhaust and intake would really help make the Edge more competitive in the acceleration area.

I have the custom exhaust and the open intake but damn SCT is taking their SWEET freaking time!!! It's been out since 2010 for heaven's sake!

  8. Ahhh yes then Yoda. Have I do Intelligent Access! I found that damn key slot. I swear I went thru that stupid owners manual up and down and never found it spelled out clearly in there. Maybe my reading skills are slacking...who knows. I walked out to the Edge and programmed the second key as a my key. I can't wait until my wife borrows the Ford. She's gunna be pissed and I going to be laughing all damn day! Lol

  9. I knew there was a effin key slot. Thanks coyote! I'm wondering how someone was able to program a key without the slot...just curious.

And for the Dodge K car post....i got and restored a 1995 Jeep Wrangler with the 2.5L engine for my son. It has larger than standard tires and the quarter mile time should be timed in minutes and not seconds ;)

No worries on RacerX speeding in that thing.
