I actually got someone at customer service on this update recall issue. I was told that the problem is the installation of the update. I was asked if the update loaded and if the temperture was back on the 8inch screen. I was also asked if I have experienced any issues since the update has been loaded. I have not . I was told everything is ok.

Downloaded the 3.2 update from the sync my ride site. installed USB stick in drive and went to the Sync screen and click install update. It loaded in about 25 mins and the temp is back on 8 inch screen. Phone was still connected. Check all four screen corners on my 2011 Edge main screen and all appears ok.

Apple has an undated MFT app ipad showing the temprature back next to the time on the 8 inch screen. It also appears it allows some homescreen customization.

I have a 2011 Edge with 6100 miles on it. We had our coldest morning today and a strange click/knocking sound came from the vehicle as I drove off. It seemed to start on the right side of the vehicle an move toward the front. As the car warmed it is started to go away. I could still hear it somewhat as I got to work. Taking it to the dealer Monday. Only hope it still there so I won't look like an idiot.
