  1. 2006 35th Anniversary Superglide, #2840 of 3500 made 2010 Camaro RS, wife's ride
  2. Thanks... Wifey's ride, 2010 RS
  3. bce said: Just wondering -- is it always grayed out or just when it doesn't make sense? Like as the first character of the street name? To clarify: When entering a favorite to navigation, on the name line the space bar is grayed out. If I want first name then last name, I have to dash, underscore or some other character to create the space. However, when I drop to the address line the space bar is functional. Not an issue I can't work around...just strange. (Of course, it's quite possible I'm wrong about seeing the spacebar in the first place.) Other notes: Temp readings are the same on both screens Rear camera works fine Upon start-up, it seems the new version takes a bit longer to fully boot up than V3.0 did
  4. Downloaded the V3.2.2 update off SMR to a thumbdrive, and did the install. Took about 45 minutes, no problems. Checked nav, all my favorites were there, as was the space bar. All radio presets were retained. Temerature back on touch screen. Phone paired ok. All good so far. Then I plugged in my Ipod, and started playing music. System locked up shortly thereafter, and nothing I tried would free it up. Only the USB (Ipod) was affected. Message said it was indexing. Anyway, I did a Master reset (following instructions) and after the reboot, everything was back up, working ok. (Lost all my nav favorites though) One issue following the reset: Space bar on nav screen has gone away (grayed out). Not a huge deal, but would be nice to have that function back. Is the nav card that came with the V3.0 update the most current, or is a new one required with the V3.2.2?
  5. I'm coming up on one year of ownership and 13,000 miles on my 2011 Limited FWD. Continue to be mostly pleased with the Edge. Fuel economy is maintaining 23+ mpg, and I'm very satisfied with that. Quirky MFT continues to frustrate me at times, especially the navigation. One very aggrevating thing: I missed an exit recently and instead of recalulating my route from there, the navi made me u-turn back to the set route. Keep me moving forward please - don't backtrack! In July, I traveled to Michigan (about 1,900 mi.) and the Edge provided a very comfortable ride and minimal fatigue. Adaptive cruise worked great. There continues to be a rattle/vibration noise that seems to come from the left front (drivers door/fender/mirror) area. I've read several posts about loose mirror covers and inner wheelwell liners that fasteners have come loose. Will have it looked by the dealer unless I can find a fix myself.
  6. I have been having the same occasional rattle on my 2011 Limited FWD. It seems to be most noticable between 35-55 mph, and sounds like it's coming from the left front wheel area. It's always hard to tell with rattles/squeaks/noises, because they don't always come from where you may think they are. My mirror covers are a bit loose too, but it just doesn't seem like that's the problem. I have tried to have the window open - but then there is too much wind noise. I'll have my first service soon, so I'll have the dealer check out out.
  7. Interesting to note that on the window sticker, the "combined fuel ecomomy" is listed at 22mpg, so I'd say 21mpg is reasonable given your driving habits.
  8. I called Sync My Ride support to see if they had a mail date for my update package, but they could only say what I already knew: starting 3/5/12 the updates would begin being mailed out. My Edge (build date 6/23/11) has version 2.8, so MFT performance isn't too bad so I'm willing to wait for the mailman to deliver it. I suppose they may be mailing them out in relation to build date and/or purchase date?
  9. 2011 FWD Limited, 20" wheels with 6K, mostly non-highway driving and I'm at 22.1 mpg according to the onboard display. Had a 2006 Chevy Malibu SS, 240 hp, fwd and averaged 21-22 mpg, although I may have "leaned" on that a bit more than the Edge. As others have commented, considering the size and weight of the Edge I am pleased to this point.
  10. I've had my 2011 fwd Limited for five months and at 5,400 miles gas mileage is at 22 mpg, with most of my driving on secondary roads (non-highway). Minor issues with MFT, I just deal with it and look forward to the upgrade. Navigation system is not very user friendly (especially to locate an address), but once entered, it has worked flawlessly. I really like the smooth quiet performance of the engine; plenty 'o power; no complaints on the transmission. The blind spot warning lights take some getting used to; they give "false" readings with guardrails/objects close to the road edge. Collision warning system has gotten my attention a few times. Aside from the issues related to the MFT (and I am confident they will get resolved), I am extremely satisfied with the Edge.
  11. Does anyone know if the 20" wheel covers will be damaged when changing tires on them? In my experience, the machines used are air powered and use various tools to remove and install the new tires. It seems like the process would damage the plastic surface. Anyone have any experience with this?
  12. As a longtime GM (mainly Chevrolet) owner, I purchased my Edge three months ago. It's a Limited, White Platinum Tri-coat, FWD, Rapid Spec 302, 20" wheels, with black interior. I test drove the Sport, but after driving cars with sport suspension for many years, I decided to opt for the more comfortable ride. I still like the more aggressive look of the Sport though! I have endured many of the same issues/complaints with the MFT as other owners have, however overall I am more than happy with the Edge. Build quality, comfort, and ride are all exceptional. Fuel economy is slowly improving, now at 21.5 mpg on mostly local (non-highway) driving. Thanks to everyone for sharing their experience and opinions.
