  1. Yours was probably one of them that had some quality control.
  2. By the way also love your DRL's, you have more patience than me.....lol. I'm gonna hold my breathe and hope they just make an aftermarket kit like yours that's plug and play....lol
  3. I like using the 35w kits because I usually have speakers that require amps, so the less watts the lights use the amps get that extra juice. Using LED all around the car also helps a little.
  4. Loved the install, just wanted to let you know there is no difference with the lumens from a 55w or 35w kit, it's the the Kelvin that is the key the lower the Kelvin the brighter the light output. How did you mount your ballasts? Did you have to strap them or did they come with ballast mounts?
  5. I totally agree with you. That is why they closed down the Ford plant that was in Newark, NJ a few years ago, the quality there sucked and the workers were constantly on break!!
  6. Hey Mike, I was reading about the gap in the head liner and was curious to see if mine had a gap. I went out to the garage and checked, sure enough mine had a gap also on the passenger side by the windshield. I was still curious to see how many have this problem, so I went to a local dealer here on Long Island and checked because I know they have 2 new Sports with the plastic still all over them. The salesman went and got the keys for both of them and sure enough the both of them had the same problem. You are absolutely right about them being s more on top of their quality control.
  7. Will be waiting good luck, hope it works.
  8. That is so weird, it was enough of a gap that you can slip your finger in there. Maybe its just a coincidence that my car the 2 at the dealership had those gaps.
  9. LOL......gotta try that to see if it'll fix my issue.
  10. I read in another thread that someone had a gap in the headliner by the windshield. So I went outside and looked at mine and to my surprise I had a gap also right by the windshield on the passenger side where the headliner meets the the windshield. I thought maybe it was just a coincidence, but I wanted to be sure. So I went earlier today to a dealership that had 2 brand new sports on their lot and asked if I could take a look at them. Both still had the plastic on the seats and on the wheels, never driven, and to my surprise again, both had the same gap in the headliners. Why would Ford send these $40K plus cars out with these defects?
  11. I sent an email to SCT asking about that also early last month and they weren't sure when they would have a program for the 2011/2012 sports.
  12. This is the kit I ordred for my Sport, they look OEM after install because it comes with mounting brackets and the wiring is covered with a braided heat protected line. http://www.omnixautosports.com/9006-hid-xenon-conversion-kit-s/89.htm
  13. There shouldn't be anything to cut if it's a true plug and play, but the relay harness attaches to the kit and takes some of the load off the stick wiring. Just have to wire it to the battery.
  14. Do think these pistons can handle that type of heat?
  15. I've looking to see if anyone has turbo supercharged these engines but it seems like there really isn't an aftermarket base for these cars.
  16. I agree with Dingo, I've used Gorilla for years and have never had an issue with rust. Living in NYC with the amount of salt they like to use on these roads, the Gorilla's have been well tested.
  17. Have thought of using a different air filter instead of the one Pro Zen provided? The A'PEXi air filter will change the way the air comes into the intake and the filter is a dry filter and won't need oiling.
  18. Dingo, you seem to be very knowledgable about the Sport Models. Would happen to know a company that does a flash tune for the 2012 Sport. Would like to remove the limiter for the top speed.
  19. Thanks for the help. Now off to order the HIDs at Omni X Autosport.
  20. If not I may just try stainless lines and Hawk brake pads, would also have to use flush brake fluid for one that can handle higher temps.
  21. I am looking on both performance and looks. I work nights and usually when I'm on my way home there is nobody on the roads and I mean nobody!! The only things I see are the deer, so I'm usually driving pretty fast. I need the brakes to stop a little better and have no trouble shelling out the money to fix that issue. I just wanted to know if the brembos would work with the stock wheels.
  22. So the Edge does have a shutter in it already to redirect the light for the high beam?
  23. When buying an Aftermarket HID kit should it be a Bi-Xenon kit or not? I heard that the projectors on the Edges already have a shutter in them for the Hi/Lo beam. Is that true?
