I was curious if I could get a quote on the part in the picture. I couldn't figure out which part it was in the diagrams and descriptions. It almost looks like the prior owner put out a stoagie in the plastic.

This is what I did. $150 and 2-3 hours taking my time. Enjoy.

Approaching 60,000 on my 2011 SEL the only real issue I've had is the drivers door ajar warning that I reported few official complaints about.(See my other posts)

Got it at 28K in Feb 12 and the dealer threw a new set of front pads. Other than that its just been oil changes and tire rotations. I have to say I'm extremely surprised that the original Michelins are still safe at 57,XXX miles (well for another few months).

Can everyone go to www.safecar.gov and report it and maybe we can either get some of you your money back and some of us this repair taken care of for free. Anyone else have any thoughts.

I talked to my local service guy and he seemed like a good dude. He told me to call Ford directly and report this. The guy at Ford said that if I did get this fixed to save the receipt in case it does become a recall/TSP issue.

Sorry this took so long. Hasn't really been sunny and I haven't washed the car to 2 weeks.

Finally had a day over 60 out to install this. Loving the way it goes with my matte black grill and the separation w/the one piece of chrome.

and they wanted $110 diagnostic fee to even look at my door because I don't have an extended warranty on my 2011 w/50,000 on it....

I got my 2011 Black SEL that was a rental in NY w/28,XXX for $23,750 in Feb. The price of the 2012 sounds pretty low to me but if its legit I'd grab it quick, especially w/leather. Mine is AWD and I get 19-22 city and 25 on road trips. Good luck.

On a side note: The place I got it from checked it out and threw on some new front pads and rotors before I took delivery. When I got it home I had the local Ford Dealership do a free inspection on it and they said it looked brand new.

Ever thought about this?

I just installed the Curt yesterday. I picked it because of what wlepse said. It took me 2 hours and I didn't re-install the heat shield. If I was to do it again, it would only take me 45 min. No pushing up on the bumper at all. Good luck with your decision.

If I had a lease, buy what I did, throw it on for 3 years, keep the crome pieces in a box and reinstall them when you're trading it back in. You will find a buyer on here quickly for a used grill. It should only take you 1 hour, on and off. Good luck on your decision.

UPDATE: Had the new grill on for about 1600 miles w/OUT painting it (as is from partscheap.com) and there are no issues to speak of. I was worried about bugs being on the grill for a few days after the fiances trip north till the time I had to wash the car. No issues what so ever. Thinking about vinyling the top piece of chrome at the moment and if I do I might do the inner door handles. Thinking about the plastidip for the exterior door handles and the badges.
