  1. I don't know about you guys, but the projection halogens are friggen bright. I constantly have people flashing me on the highway thinking I have my brights on. IF I installed HID's, I would have to lower them down.
  2. Factory sound system sounds amazing to me (Sony system). Even cranked it doesn't seem to distort. I'm also not 18 anymore. I don't need it to go BOOM BOOM BOOM and rattle my license plate.
  3. Congrats! How much did it cost with all your savings?
  4. I use Lloyds envirocare Green Power. It works well, doesn't hurt the coating and takes everything off that is stuck to the rims. Spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes and wash it off. Amazing stuff.
  5. If I recall, the towing capacity is 3500lbs. There is also no integrated trailer brake controller, so you would have to add that as well. A small boat would be fine, but if it's 3500-4000 lbs, forget it. Keep in mind that you're going to have that boat loaded with fuel, gear, extra passengers, etc. Nope. No extra engine and transmission cooler lines, etc. Not really a towing vehicle.
  6. We thought about a sedan as well, but with 2 kids this wasn't an option. Miss our old VW tdi. Love our new Edge. MPG is what you could expect out of a 305hp heavy vehicle.
  7. I doubt you benefit anything from this other than being louder. If you do any kind of Cat Bypass you will have issues with engine lights and poor fuel economy.
  8. Never had a problem with the washer nozzles and I live in Alberta (Pretty cold climate). As another mentioned, make sure you get the driver entry package. Money well spent. Live with the Antenna.. Really? Worried about rust? Keep your car clean. The new gas filler design won't freeze on you.
  9. Sounds like someone replaced the mirror at one points and opted for the cheaper mirror.
  10. I also noticed our headlamps are aimed too high. On low beam going down the highway I must have had 1/2 a dozen cars flash me going down a 5 miles stretch. When the high beams don't seem to make a difference in brightness, you know there must be an issue. I haven't contacted ford yet about it, but I'm going to have to do something. I'm wondering if it's because we have the sport model and it's slightly taller with the bigger wheels and they didn't adjust the headlamps.
  11. We had the same problem trying to decide between the edge and the explorer. The main reason we decided to go with the Edge was cost vs value. The only explorer I would settle with was the ecoboost sport and the interest rates here in Canada are currently 3.99% for the term we could afford. The same term on the edge was .99%. Almost $5000 savings in interest alone. If they had a better rate on the explorer I would have picked that up. LOVE the edge thus far.
  12. If you like a hotdog without the fixings go for the CRV. I found the CRV boring and outdated compared to Ford.
  13. Hi all. Proud owner of a new Edge Sport. I'm more than impressed so far with it. The 3.7 seems to be stout (Not super powerful, yet enough to get you in trouble). Love everything about it so far. Anyone find that other drivers find the low beams too bright? Had several cars flash me while I had the low beams on. Maybe it was the bottom driving lights that bothered them, but haven't figured out how to turn those off yet. High beams didn't appear to seem much brighter than low beam. Cheers
