  1. I had always assumed the '16 Titanium came with HIDs. Silly me. My '16 Sport has factory HIDs for Hi and Lo beam and I am very satisfied with the output from them. Wasn't aware that the DRLs had any connection to them. Since the Sport and Titanium have the same Lens I would think these parts would work for any model '16. Were HIDs part of one of the trim packages for the Titanium?
  2. Had mine replaced last August and no messages or crooked wheels since then. I do need to pau the dealer a visit though. Horn is hard to blow, but since I don't live in New York it isn't too bad.
  3. Successfully updated from1.0 to 2,2 with no problems. on the restart I had to finally do a second restart before the maps would load. When I tried to upload the verification file to owner.ford.com I received an error several times and am still waiting for an answer on that. All functions work and Carplay worked fine as soon as I installed the new hub I removed the side trim to allow me to reach the tabs and did the update with minor issues. I didn't need to use the safety string on the connectors, but definitely think it is a good idea to tie them off to prevent loosing them in the console. I'll update if I get an answer on the confirm step. The upload placed the file in a root folder called C:/fakepath which I couldn't find.
  4. Hey Ford techs- any update on release date or cost on this new toy? Will it be movable from vehicle to vehicle> For instance a "16 Edge Sport to a "13 Ford Explorer limited?
  5. What is the latest version of Snyc 3 and where do I find it? Are the hubs now available for dealers so I can get CarPlay and what is the status of the OBD plug in for remote features? Any cost on either of these? I've been away from my 16 EWdge Sport for a few months and plan to get the upgrades in May. Thanks for any updates. I noticed on syncmyride and the ford owners site that it always says I have the latest updates. It used to have the latest to download and then I had to verify the update after it was completed. Didn't realize they had ended this with no notice.
  6. My dealer in Ky contacted Sirius/XM and had the service reinstated. Sirius stuck to it's claim that they had to have the dealer fix it. If I had not continued the radio service after 6 months it would have not been a problem with travel link. Guess I confused them. I now have 5 years from the delivery date.
  7. I can confirm the Heated seats do come on with remote start in cold weather also. My 16 Sport is very good in snow with the factory tires, but I'm sure a winter compound would be better. Very good traction on newly wet roads also. I haven't had a problem with the cooled seats, the soft leather is more comfy in hot and cold than harder leather for me.
  8. Thanks to all, akirby's post gave my memory a kick start. I'm looking at the article posted above now. My Edge is in another state but my Explorer is with me in Florida. On another matter, my 5 year subscription to travel link disappeared after 6 months when I started paying for the Sirius radio. My calls to Sirius had no luck in getting Travel Link restored and I was told to contact the dealer. So far the dealer has had no luck. It is a 2016 Edge Sport purchased in June 2016 with all options except the console safe. Any suggestions?
  9. I was getting the text alert on Sync 2 and Snyc 3 until I upgraded to a 7 plus. Since then no texts. All settings are as mentioned above. seems I remember akirby giving advice about a setting when I had the problem on the old phone, but can't remember what that was.
  10. I had my adaptive steering replaced back in Aug-Sept of 16. Car was down for 25 days while waiting for a part. I had an F 150 loaner for this time. Car has been fine with the replaced parts, but I have to take it back in to find out why the horn is extremely hard to blow.
  11. Mine had an issue like the others above, First msg was Adaptive steering error, service required. It went away and I had several Adaptive Steering re-initializing msgs. On one occasion, the wheel was half way to the left while the car went straight. I took it in on Aug 29, the dealer found a code and had to convince Ford it needed to have the wheel replaced. It has caused me to drive my other car to Florida for the part of the year we spend there. My son is supposed to pick up the car tomorrow after they finally received the "constrained" part and will park it in the garage till I return. So far I have 25 days in the shop for a vehicle less than 4 months old. My dealer was concerned it would turn out to be a safety issue, so didn't want me to take the car on the road without fixing the problem.
  12. Summer is winding down, so any word on Carplay for the 2016s yet?
  13. I finally had success with programming and displaying keypad code. I turned the "Easy Entry" feature off and swapped the keys out as quickly as I could. After the final step in the programming sequence, the door locks clicked to indicate sucess. I think the manual should read "no more than 5 seconds" instead of "wait 5 seconds"
  14. I tried to program a new key using the OM process and still have had no luck. Also tried to display the original code for the keypad with no luck. Any suggestions?
