Awesome info... Know the Forney area well. The house is a good thing... there is always time for car stuff later. Understand the attachment to the 442. We have a 71 GS convertable that has been in the family since new. My dad bought it my senior year in high school. Today the car is in Florida with my brother.

Not sure if you have access to email addresses or not but I would imagine I can send you a private message with email. You're in the Dallas are. I am up in Frisco. Not sure if you ever attend the Dallas Cars and Coffee which is this Saturday. I normally do however too many items on the honey do list this week so I will have to pass. Also, my daily driver is an '01 Lightning. Which is why I hit the car show as often as possible.

Well... I hope it not that unit. Sounds like that could be costly and not as easy as three screws to replace the blower motor! I went to Rock Auto and found three units available if I have to replace the blower motor. Doubt I will find an EATC there!

So much for testing it on News Year Eve! hehe I did though yesterday, sort of. Got in the car and the fan motor is magically back and working. I am going to have to wait until the next time it decides to fail. Not sure what else I can do? Do have a question though, you mention EATC controller, not sure what that is. Can you give me a better idea? Thanks!!!

I have an 08 Limited I bought used. Great vehicle, very clean and I am impressed with it. A few months ago I cleaned up the in cab air filter (couldn’t find one locally other than the dealer) and everything worked fine. A month or so later I noticed the fan wasn’t on no matter what speed I put it on (it has climate control). Started to work on its own during that drive and just forgot about looking at it. Happened a few more times since then and always came on within 10-15 minutes so it was more of a nuisance than a failure. This past week the car sat at the airport outside parking and now the fan doesn’t come on no matter how long I drive it. I haven’t looked at anything yet but I am hoping for some advice and guidance before I start looking. OBTW: Off topic I recently replaced my windshield wipers with Rain-X replacement blades… I highly recommend them. Little pricy but worth it. Thanks, Rick

Not familiar with Cree... doesn't look like what's available at the auto stores. Are these bright enough and do they have a 360 degree pattern? I am sure if I research further I will figure that out but they look like first generation bulbs I tried once and they worked from either directly in front or the back of the vehicle when looking at the brakes or directionals. From the side... not effective.

I sent in a question on the DAYTIME website. Maybe we can get a group buy from them. I too have an 08 and just put in LED's that are less than the 30 watts and ended up with the hyper flash of the turn signals. Has anyone heard from them since August. I would think later on in August, as he said in his comment, should be about now allowing for delays and whatnot! I have no idea where to pick up 30 watt LEDS unless I order off the web and then I am not sure they would have sufficient 360 degree lighting.

Just saw this thread and check mine, dang... doubt it was ever cleaned or replaced. In addition to the crud on it the person that owned this before me must have jammed the glove box full of crub. When I pulled out the box, there were letters, checks, registration, insurance cards, voter cards and napkins behind it. You can bet this didn't help the air flow! Gotta love this forum!!!

I use Armor All Extreme Shine Gel on all the black plastic parts and whipers. It's formulated to last on tires and does the same on the black plastic. Use a sponge soaked in the stuff so it is easy to color inside the lines if you know what I mean. Recently bought my Edge Limited (2008) and have done this once in the last two months and still holding the shine and deep color.

I use a toilet bowl brush that is round in shape. Fits perfectly and you only use enough pressure to loosen the bugs. Fast, easy and done.

Yup, the antenna is right up by the rear view mirror. No remotes so I will need to buy a couple. Any idea where to get them? I have found the manuals, both installation and user guide online. Still can't find the LED though. I'll pull the fuse box cover off and maybe it's in there. Now the alarm comes on everytime I unlock the door. Haven't tried the keypad yet but I will.

Maybe "trouble" is not the right word. I recently bought an 08 Limited with the Ford GEN-2 remote start. I am the third owner. I have NO prior experience with systems like this however I am more than capable. It appears that there are two systems; a single button remote start and a multi-button remote start. Since I have no key fobs other than what came with the car, I have no idea what type of system I have. I am hoping the system works with the factory issued key fob however there is no icon on the fob that show the typical cirle and arrow graphic. I have found the installation manual online and pulled the front pannel off the dash and have been able to verify the unit is indeed a GEN-2 unit down to the part numbers for the module assembly and the PATS interface kit. One of my questions is, does this system require system dedicated FOBs to work in addition to the standard factory FOB that came with the car? Does anyone have this system that runs off the standard factory FOBs? Once I can get that question answered I can move on to hopefully using the system assuming I need to either program, reset or buy FOBs to accomplish this task (no idea where to buy the FOBs from). What happens now is when I unlock the doors using the factory FOB the alarm goes off with what sounds like a random pattern. I may be too busy trying to disarm it to actually listen and see if there is a pattern at all. To disarm the alarm I have to insert the key, turn to start (don't have to start it) and then hit the button under the dash. The alarm doesn't always go off but it is getting anoying. I haven't been able to find an LED that is supposed to blink with codes and I am currious if it's possible the installation uses a light on the instrument cluster like maybe the brake light or the security light? Can anyone steer me in the right direction. OBTW... great car, looks like new and my next task is to change the rear wheel bearing hub assy's due to the noise that occurs on this things.
