  1. That seems good to me. Prices between base models and loaded limited models range between 26k - 44k new. So you'll find other 2012 models with same milage for much less but you'll also get much less. I love my 2012 Limited. Its fully loaded except the blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control. I paid 29,700 a year and half ago with 2,700 miles. Your price seems respectful seeing as your talking in Canadian money.

  2. I was just thinking. Maybe you could just cut off the wedge shape from your valance and attach it to fill in the missing spots on the bottom. That's what I would do. I would just rough cut off the sides and install it then with painters tape make a line with the front edge and cut it across level with the bottom using a dremel, hack saw blade, or utility knife.

  3. I have a 2012 Edge with MFT and Nav. I have had the edge for just over a year and it has rebooted at startup(maintenance) twice. I have had no other issues. Everything works great. Smooth flow of the screen. I would rate it at a 8 out of 10 only because the lack of Applications that had been promised. I would much rather have a stable system than one with apps that crashes. Pandora app would be nice. Maybe they could allow use of one uploaded application if the system could handle it. I look at MFT like learning a new software program. When I switched from my iPhone to a Android phone it took me longer to adjust than with MFT. Even with the touch buttons on the dash I never have issues. I can even use them with my gloves on. I just wish my heated seat controls were available on all the screens(Nav, Entertainment, Phone). Maybe Ford could do this with the next update. HINT, HINT FORD.

  4. I just want to clear things up a bit. The ECU on the Edge is optimized for 87octane. Using any higher octane will probably give you a slight gain in power as the engine will adjust timing for increased octane, but not as much as if your ECU was programmed for a higher octane.

I used to have a SCT X3 programmer for my Ford Escape and I had a high octane program that I could really feel a difference in power when running the high octane fuel. I'm actually considering purchasing the newer X4 programmer because when I ran the custom 87 octane performance program, it gave me a couple MPG extra along with more power and better shift points.

  5. If it is Flood Ford they were extremely easy to deal with. I would try to find something a year old with super low miles. I bought mine from them with 2000 miles on it for 29,400. And mine is a fully loaded Limited with AWD. Besides discounts and rebates you should be able to knock off about 10% on the sticker price.
