What have you been using to clean them?

There isn't any real chrome on the edge. A regular weekly wash with carwash soap (not dishsoap) will keep everything clean, including any brake dust.

Does the plug bolt have a washer? If so, be sure to replace it with a new one.

Is there a wrong tool?

Take your bill of sale in with you and show them you didn't order the roof rails. You don't have to pay for them, and if they think they can force you to, tell them you are going to purchase a vehicle from a different dealership and walk away.

You are correct. The MKX has the 14 speakers. The Edge only has 9 with no middle front speaker,tweeter-mid-range whatever in the front doors, and no speakers in the D pillar. The THX in the MKX sounds wonderful, especially with the extra sound deadening material.
