  1. no button to push from frt to awd. not sure of the % between frt and rear power. mostly front though. if you'll be in snow/ice much at all i'd suggest the AWD. if gas mileage is a concern, and not snow/ice driving then i'd do frt wheel drive.

  2. Obama.. he has not exactly been pro gun. so, many fear he will tighten restrictions on obtaining guns. thus, people are rushing out to buy. I think I read, locally, handgun sales alone went up 50% since he was elected. However, it would be some time before he could push legislation thru, if he does, so it might be a bit of an unnecessary mad rush at this moment.

don't forget about the huge % tax on ammo.

  3. comments? yes. the brakes suck.

wait til you have to panic stop (hopefully you won't) then you'll see that they really really suck. there's a thread somewhere on here about some EBC pads. i'll wait til mine are due for a change before i change them out for aftermarket. Also, some have changed the lines i believe. i'm thinking on the pads i may give the NAPA brand a try. hopefully that's not the ones that come stock from factory. i've learned to not follow as close i used to, and my wife also helps out. they're STOPPING!!!!! on a plus side, i still think it's a very good looking vehicle, and rides nice.

  4. i had not fired my new S12. today, my sister called my mom frantic, someone had broken into her house. my mom calls police (this is where i begin to hear conversation) mom say's "my daughters house has been broken into and she thinks they're STILL in the house"

I head outside, my son (19) say's he's coming. he was looking at my gun and brings it with us. my uncle also comes. 4 miles to my sis' house, uncle gets out goes to back of house i'm headed to front. he hollers at me to come to his side and he runs to the other. i've got weapon pointed at the back door, slowly walk around corner and see busted window, and hear something in the house. I've made decision that i WILL shoot if when they come out they've got any weapons, or plan on running. the cop finally pulls up (i'm 4 miles away, he's less than 2 and i beat him there by 5+ minutes) Apparently what i hear in the house was the wind knocking a door around inside. criminals were gone. Took Christmas presents, computer, checks.

I would not have hesitated killing someone coming out of her house if i had to. Would have been the guns first shot. I'm sure some/most would disagree with what i did, or would do. but read on: my aunt and uncle got a call at our Christmas dinner last year, my aunts sister-in-law's parents house was broken into, and were both shot and killed. My sister is a church going gal, and her family is too. i don't know anyone who is as good a person as they are. (I'm pretty close though) But their safety means Much more to me than some POS scumbag who doesn't deserve to be breathing right now. Sure all the stuff is replaceable, but their security is not. They don't feel safe now at all.

Nuff ranting. PS. i did go back to my parents for Christmas dinner, then went out and shot the gun. IT'S AWESOME!!!!!

  5. i just sent in for my restriceted weapons FAC up here in canada, hope to get little .22 pistol for some fun, and of course a rifle for hunting. have no idea what brands/models/ yet, should probly start dreaming soon...

i've only got one gun so far, with the S12 due anyday. berretta 32 cal. pistol, i'm def. PRO gun, and i'm afraid i've found a new addiction. my first is my sportbike, and the track. was looking for something to do in the cold months that i don't/wont ride the bike. Looks like i can't find a "cheap" hobby

  6. i've got the black edge and i have found that the black paint is the worst paint i've seen on a vehicle. i have an old 87 irocZ parked out back for years that has better paint job than this New car. i've used quality clothes to wash/wax and it just doesn't do the job. i use the same items for my black motorcycle and it cleans up perfect.

so far i've found Nothing that gets the paint looking any where near new, and i've tried quite a few things. the wife failed to clean off a dead bug, and left over bird **** and it really did a number on the paint. i got most of the bird **** out but not all. the dead bug spot kinda bubbled the paint. VERY disappointed in the quality of paint (not my first post on the subject either) other than that the car is great.

  7. at first i thought the brakes were "just adequate" then i felt they had improved with a little age. then about a month ago, a car slowed FAST in front of me and i hit the brakes very hard. they didn't stop for shi* and they haven't felt that good sense then. (i did stop in plenty of time to avoid the car in front of me) i'll definately upgrade to a better pad and hopefully eliminate their poor choice in brake pads. (hope it's just the pad)

  8. i used motorcraft and fram (thats what jiffy lube used) i used jiffy lube because we were on a little trip, and was about to go on vacation. i prefer to change my own. at the next oil change (10,000 mile one) i did it myself with the same stuff. i found this was the easiest oil change i've ever done. everything was "right there" and took very little time. EXCEPT for the draining. i think i had about 7 quarts in that thing (i would say jiffy lube didn't drain it near long enough) I wasn't happy, and i've checked it on the dipstick but it alway's showed just fine. my wife's noticed we are getting even better mpg now. my next oil change i'm going to try full synthetic mobil 1.

    still loving this vehicle.

  9. Welcome... had ours just over 5 months and still love it. it seems to be an a**hole magnet though. seems to get "dinged" or scratched by everyone. YES we even park on the other side of BFE. i guess what i'm saying is it's bigger than it looks.
