just Googled the heck out of your question. the "buyers remorse" doesn't apply to autos. if it's under the clearcoat they'll probably have to repaint it.

what i would do: get some sorta cleaner, and test a small area just to make sure it was under the clearcoat. i would probably then call them first thing Monday and tell them your concern (depending on their attitude, hopefully positive) take it to them and tell them you do not want this vehicle and want to trade it for a different one, and Show them why.

hopefully someone else on here has dealt w/ issues similar w/ yours and could tell you how their experience went. GL

my 07 SEL AWD is very smoth at the shifter as well.

Yikes!!! i would def. take it back if it was under the clearcoat.

if it's just overspray from nearby i wouldn't sweat it too much. it will buff out w/ some elbow grease, etc... my wife's vehicles get overspray on them were she works (really makes me mad) i don't remember what i used but i know it took lots of rubbing.

as for taking it back, check your laws??? i've been told ( i could really really be wrong) but heard you have 2-3 day's to return a vehicle if new. like i said i could be wrong.

i've found i have to drive about 15-20 minutes before i start getting the high teen's or low 20's in MPG. if i start it drive to town (6 miles) i barely see 15mpg, that's on the interstate for couple of those miles w/ only 2 stops total. i'm ASSuming it's the oil not thining quickly ( i could be completely wrong but it makes sense to me)

wasn't seeing good mpg so i was a little pi$$ed, ran it up to near redline a couple of times (seemed to do a little better after that)

awaiting the 5K mark to move to Mobil Oil. (do they have semi/synth?)

300hp, little gearing change (little quicker off the line), better gas mileage, say 18c 27h, and they could stay at the top. and offer a regular sunroof as an option.

just some stuff to think about Ford.

I towed my sportbike to the track 2 weeks ago. used a 16ft trailer (heavy duty) probably weighs 2000 or so bike 400ish and some gear. the Edge did great, except i heard lots of noises in the back of the Edge???? don't know what it was.

our tag was bouncing off the vehicle a little and sounded like we'd been rearended everytime it would flap. while towing my trailer it makes all sorts of noises. fyi, kinda scary the sounds it made while towing. never did find out what the noise was.

certainly can understand the up in sales. it's a great vehicle so far. everyone that see's mine really likes it.

All the colors look "good" on the Edge. my only regret w/ my Sel+ AWD is i didn't get the BAMR (i don't regret it, but the wife really wanted it)

Welcome, i too am impressed with Ford. i see chevy's trying to catch up with the malibu (i'm really like'n it) but Fords winning w/ the interiors lately.

anyone had any warranty work w/ the springs installed that was denied? kinda want to do this one. it handles pretty well but i it is a little top heavy.

i'm sure glad Ford didn't install these very simple items, that may have very well pushed it over the $34K.

anyone have trouble w/ the replaced under warranty wheels yet. i'll ASSume they'll be the exact same wheel. so after the warranty ends so does the wheels.

my local dealer had an 07 sel+awd and wanted 29,800 w/ 13,000miles. and wouldn't budge. and would only give me $8K for my trade.

went elsewhere.

also had an SE pretty plain for 25,900. had it at 27,900 but didn't have any interest at that price.

bought March 1st. 1800ish miles.

i have a new hate. the black paint is too soft, it easily scratches and i really wonder about how well it will hold up over the next few years. i guess i'll put on a really good wax job and just keep it clean and waxed. i know black paint is very hard to keep clean but maybe an extra coat or 2 of clearcoat would help eliminate the scratches.

my wifes read 36 miles to empty and it held 18.5ish gallons. we were averaging 19.6mpg at the time.

"when" it happens to me, i'm going to request the painted 18's, and hope for the best. i was wondering about the grill (one of the reasons the Edge looks so good) and it's life expectancy.

Basic Economics - stop using oil and the price will drop.

i would bet that wouldn't be the case. it would just increase for those who still "have to use it" i've tried to decrease the amount i use, but haven't been able to. we could stop ball practice for the kids/games/my motorcycle riding/lawn mowing on the side/etc... but then i'd just stay in and need more heat/cold in the house. we just need more fuel efficient vehicles (why i bought the Edge 17-24) barely getting 19avg. prices on Everything is increasing everytime i have to go to the store, so as a commuter car (i have to use my 2000 Grand Prix GT avg. about 25mpg) i can't afford the extra $'s for a more fuel efficient one (which would create another monthly payment). I use my motorcycle for commuting when i can (bout 40mpg) In other words: i've adjusted to the ridiculous price of fuel, and hope other costs don't triple in price of the things we really Have to have.

mine's kinda a slo-poke. i'm used to V8 power, or lighter cars. I did run up to around 6-6.5K and it seems to have it's most power in the upper RPM's. figure that's bad for MPG though. i try and keep the rpm's around the 2K mark. i would like to take a nice big corner and hold it to the floor just to see how the AWD works. still love it though. (i really would like to change the springs out)

front to back, back to front i wouldn't X them ever!!! fyi, just in case.

i'm putting on the deflector as well. 2 weeks old and got a nice chip in the paint. luckily i have black paint so the shield won't stand out too much.

so far Fords paint seems too soft. maybe a good quality wax job will help protect better?

i was way upside down on my Tahoe. best trade in i could get was $8K, then i found a new 07 Edge Sel AWD in black. worked out a deal including rebates for a trade of $12.6K. i didn't get the best deal, but better than all the other dealers i'd tried. the alternative was trading for new Altima coupe (which i did not want) the wife wanted it.

then the remorse came on week later. kinda wish i'd bought an 08 w/ vistaroof, sync, and the color my wife wanted. oh well to late now. Still LOVE the thing.
