A friend went to a local Ford dealer looking at new Mustangs. He wants to replace the one that he crashed & totaled last year (only the car was damaged, not him!). So the dealer tells him that he may be able to get a loyalty discount, about $500, because of his old Mustang, maybe that is because it's not his anymore. Meanwhile I have a 2014 Edge on order at a different dealer, and my dealer tells me that there is no Ford loyalty incentive, there never was one, but everyone wishes there was. I most certainly wish there was (or is it Hope There Is) because we have a 2013 Fusion so I would presumably qualify. So the $64,000 question is, is there or is there not any loyalty incentive for current Ford owners buying new Ford autos? Inquiring minds want to know. Anyone from Ford have an answer? Anyone get such an incentive on a recent purchase? My Edge is due in within the next 2 weeks. I must admit I am glad it's not here yet on account of the Monster Snow we just got.

Thanks Tricia. My sales gal updates me every Monday, and car is supposed to be here (Rochester NY) the week after next. I guess I can wait that long....unless the snow here kills me first! I am in Wyoming NY, probably 2 feet at my house in the last 3 days.

Whereabouts in Upstate NY? I am in Wyoming NY, also known as The Gaslight Village. I have snow magnet right in front of my house....it really works too!

I didn't expect the navigation to be so cool! I thought it would be like a bigger Google Maps just like my Moto-X. It does some really neat stuff. As I weave the backroads to & from work (when she lets me use HER car) it adapts to my little shortcuts very quickly, never gets lost or confused. It's chosen routes are also very good. Lane splits & expressway exits bring up a side by side split screen with the map on the left and on the right an image of the road showing prominant green arrows for the correct lanes, and images of the overhead Interstate signs just like you see on the road. I find it to be very well engineered. Now my wife, who is not a tech person, is using it too & she told me today that it is finding shorter routes for some of her destinations. Wow, for her to say that it really must be good! I almost wish I had ordered it on the Edge, but after adding leather, BLIS & back-up camera I reached my $ limit. Maybe Ford will throw it in because I'm really nice? Never Mind

Fluids & Filters are the key to success. And no cheap stuff...either oem or Purolator (or better, NO FRAM) filters & real full synthetic oil. Air intake filters too. At minimum f.ollow the book I agree that pretty much any modern vehicle will go the distance if you keep proper maintenance.

Update Monday 11/3/14: Kept appointment at dealer 8:00AM. Left the dealer at 9:10AM with fully functional navigation. Problem Resolved, Thank You to all for assistance. Can you guys work on personal problems too? :<)

I'm thinking I'll do mine black once I take delivery. Look up dipyourcar.com Should be pretty easy & if I don't like it I can peel it off My Edge will be in the sunset color with the light color leather interior. And the black grille of course.

I feel the pain. Ordered 9/30/14.....no light at the end of the tunnel yet. It will get here when it get's here I guess

I need to retire my Pacifica with 185,000 miles. It's been a great car, very few issues. A few factors: 1) I am committed to buying an American product. 2) Ford didn't take the bail-out $ 3) While I do a lot of my own wrenching, the owner of the shop that does the stuff I don't do tells me that he is very impressed with the new Ford products 4) While CR panned the Edge, they did the Pacifica as well, but in my case they were totally wrong, the Pac has been great & I expect the Edge to be as well. 5) The model year close-out incentives were outstanding. 5) I rented one for a few days & really liked it....a lot. 6) back-up camera & BLIS I have to wait a few more weeks for it to get here, I am very gassed up! jeff

I saw this thread because I have an Edge on order, maybe another 3 weeks before it arrives. Also, just bought a 2013 Fusion and I have a navigation question. Rebecca you seem to be a Go-To person for nav issues, so maybe you could take a shot at this one: i just posted this on the Fusion Forum, the title is "IS A WINDOW STICKER EVER WRONG - NAVIGATION". Here is that post: We just entered the Ford universe with a 2013 Fusion SE for my wife. Bought it at a good local dealer. It was a Ford "reacquired" vehicle with only about 11,000 miles on it. Reacquired due to multiple oil leaks, but Ford finally replaced the motor, and that was good enough for me, so now my wife has it & is enjoying it. It is really nice, very comfy & well equipped. Now here's the weirdest thing: The original window sticker http://services.ford...A6P0HR8DR198718 indicates that it has the $795 Navigation option. However the car does NOT have navigation. The MyTouch screen upper right tab says "Information" instead of "Navigation", and the dealer says that it just doesn't have navigation. So, is a window sticker ever wrong? Is it possible that the navigation just needs to be activated somehow?
