I also vote for the DM-V2. I have a set of four on both my 2011 and 2016 Edges and they are excellent winter tires. I also purchased mine at Costco.

Same here cept Costco did not have the DM-V2 in a 20" rim, so had to go get them from a specialty tire shop.....still well worth the money.

Keeping it in Drive mode would only really help with fuel mileage on the highway. In town I keep it in sport mode 95% of the time.

seems like i average 17 no matter what mode im in, but i would agree on a long trip i dont need sport mode

I was talking purely highway miles.....and I usually get between 29 to 31 mpg on highway cruising (in drive mode) at 75 mph....in (Sport mode) I believe I was getting 26 mpg....all over a 1.5 hour drive one way (1.5 hours in Sport mode and 1.5 hours in Drive mode). Granted around town I dont think it makes much of a difference(driving style would be the huge factor).

yes, that revel audio system would be a huge improvement over the edge sony system.

What about the magnetic variable suspension modes.....what are your thoughts on that feature?

My wife really liked the push button gear selection.

Love the colors! sync 3...very nice! Sweet interior, much prefer that over the sport all black.....but I love my sport 2.7 tho.

Not sure about the 6th gear issue....guess it all depends on revs.....but back to the fuel millage....I was cruising at 75 mph and forgot it was in sport, then I checked my fuel millage for the whole trip back (in D mode) and the difference was around 4 mpg.

IF you will be holding speed for a long period of time(highway) you will hurt your gas mileage as it will not shift to 6th in sport unless you use the paddles to do so.

yes.....I experienced this first hand....gas mileage will suffer around 3 to 4 mpg.

if those are the oem black rims for the edge sport, then they are a 21" rim and not a 20".....just fyi.

I have tire psi and rpm, but no engine temp. How do I get engine temp?

second click on with the oval rpm....youll see the engine temp next to the fuel gauge.

Am I right that there is no dash display available for oil pressure, engine temp (coolant) and battery voltage?

Through the MFT displays beside the physical speedo, you can configure your display to show engine temp, tire psi, range, tract control, rpm and fuel.....oil psi and voltage....no.

You control the ambient lighting through the MFT.....there are no physical controls.

Very nice....looks similar to the setup Im saving for. Tough to beat the ALP system, as Ive already been nailed twice by laser in the last year.

Laser jammer also visible in the grille of you look hard enough.

what kind of laser jammer did you go with. Been looking at the ALP....in all my research it looks to be the one most effective against the Dragon eye lidar(toughest laser system to jam).

Weathertechs Do Just What They Claim. Work great. BUT, when you have a swimming pool of water on either front side, trying to get the matts out is difficult without spillage. The plastic (rubber, silicone) whatever gets hard in the cold climates and doesn't bend as well. Not a big issue, diligence to empty the matts more often can avoid this.

The same goes for the Weathertech matt that spans the entire back in front of the bench. It too can be a test of getting it out without spillage.

AND, if the water dries up, you end up with crusty scales of salt etc. Like very thin fine peanut brittle.

I'd still buy the matts though.

WeatherTechs are awsome....just think where all that water and salt would go with just the all weather mats from ford....Id guess half would be in the carpet and not the mat. They are a must for us Canadians.

Awesome....the wife and I have the exact same one...and we love it.....truly a beautiful cuv, with performance to match. We really liked the subtle tricolor pearl in the paint. The sun really brings out a satin luminous quality to it.

We've had ours just under a year...LOL(we've had two actually....the first one had the leak), and driving it never gets old. Usually my wife gets it as a daily driver for her commute to work, but I always jump at the chance to get behind the wheel.

Beautiful Edge sport....from the moment I laid eyes on the new sports I loved the look....best looking CUV out there.....period

Id look into the weathertech floor mats.....they really protect the floor carpet from winter.

Sorry to hear about the rattles.....my wife and I have had two 2015 edge sports now...and neither rattled....we currently have 14K km on our current one and not a single peep....quietest vehicle Ive ever driven.

You wont be disappointed....the sport is a blast to drive.....Ive had mine almost 1 year and I still love driving it.....the performance in the 2.7 twin turbo never gets old.

Got my first race signal today from a guy with a Challenger with an exhaust, he used one finger to express himself on the second attempt as on the first try I didn't let em pass.

 

The wife said no...I was looking forward to explaining the quiet nature of the Edge while giving him a whooping.

I get the same thing from my wife(I just recently got the one finger signal from a turbo Veloster I smoked).....the only time she entertains my desire to "own my lane" is when a perf diesel truck is wanting my lane and my wife hates being behind those coal burners....so I usually have lots of fun with them.....havent found one yet that out performs the edge.

Laser jammer's are illegal in all states. A good radar detector is worth considering, still legal in most states.

Ahh....I didn't know that.....here in Alberta they are still legal.

Its just going to be a small badge, similar to ecoboost except I'm going to take that thing off.

 

I finally tried revving the engine and launching today. I did it before and it felt weird, now I know to turn traction control off!!

 

Wow...what a jump and it was just 2k rpm, none of that hesitation crap you would normally get, I am totally embracing this and hope tranny doesn't blow up cause come summer I am totally using Michelin super sports and going to launch it as far as the tires can hold!

The tranny in the new sport is the 6f55(much stronger than the 6f50).....guys are pushing 500+ft/lb torque through them with SHO's and not having any problems.

We went to two dealerships....both were of no help brutal Sara B......I didnt get any action til the customer rep from here got involved.....Keep trying.....ford ended up buying back our Edge sport and then gave us a brand new one.

How do you feel the edge did in its first test.....Not like you picked an easy mark. Stock it will pull a 4.5 0-60.

My first test was a 2015 frs, and they look fast (almost looks a little like a gtr)....needless to say I smoked it, but later I found out that they are a 7 sec 0-60.

Any helpful tips? I am trying to get my car fixed! I called the dealership when the recall notice came out in June and was told they didn't know anything about the recall and not to worry about it yet......! So I asked them to check my car when I got my oil changed on 1/6/16 and mentioned that there was moisture in my taillights which shouldn't be happening (my car is still under warranty). The service guy said he would submit pictures of the taillights on 1/6/16 and then never called me back. Now my floorboard is filling up with water and lately (not sure if it's related) my nav system has been acting up and my car only shows/plays my synced music sometimes!

 

Who should I be contacting the service center?

contact Tricia.....On this forum she is one of the ford service reps for USA FORD. She was very helpful in putting me in contact with the right customer service people.

look in systems to see if it is an admin key....if there has been no admin key issued then that might be why you cant access that part of the system.

remsleep....um just out of curiosity, what fob are you using. Are you using the admin fob? or the mykey fob.
