  1. Not sure, I thought I was buying a standard Ford contract (service provided at any Ford dealer) but this was through another company and they were very restrictive. The dealer made it right (full refund) with very little arguing. What really turned me off was the amount of time it took to get your oil changed, about 3 hours if you include back and fourth to the dealership, processing and the time till they get to it. This was the first oil change that I did not do myself (as it turned out I did do it myself) I can do the whole job in my garage in less than 30 minutes for lower cost, done correctly and a lot less effort on a pair of ramps. 3 hours out of a Saturday is ridiculous.
  2. Jiffy Lube told me that the F150 is similar and that they leak if you do not put in a new drain plug it was $9 but I think of it as good insurance.
  3. I changed my oil a couple of months ago and it was very straight forward. I first took it to the dealer and found out that my extended maintenance agreement did not cover this ( the dealer refunded all of the money I paid for the maintenance contract - last time I get one of those). The dealer also wanted 2.5 hours to change the oil! I then went to Jiffy Lube and they told me the filter is impossible to get and they could not even order one. So I went home ordered the filter and plug on Amazon, got it two days later and did it myself (fact is this would of been the first oil change in my life I paid someone to do). The hardest part was replacing the O-ring on the filter assembly (the small one). The oil came out quickly but it was manageable, in addition I used full synthetic.
  4. I am hopeful that by this spring, Ford gets it's collective act together and comes up with a fix for the seats. I have a hot spot after about 10 minutes that causes me to turn off the cooled seats. Not worth wasting my time with the dealer until there is a TSB on it
  5. I have 10K on my 15 Sport and overall I am happy with it, with the exception of the ventilated seats. They are several problems with them, the most glaring being a hot spot in the middle of my back on A/C. The brakes, handling and acceleration are excellent, especially for a large vehicle. SYNC has been better than expected, maybe Ford addressed the major issues (after several years). I drove a normally aspirated V6 Audi Q5 and the Sport is faster and handles better at a lower price point. I wish that Ford would have expanded the wheel/tire options - I ended up with the stock 20 inch tires, as I could not get a straight answer from the dealer of Ford directly on 21 all season tires. This is a shame as you have to believe that folks paying extra for a Sport would consider $800 for upgraded wheels, lost money for Ford. It is comfortable on long trips and has plenty of power to pass.
  6. I am having the same problem, feels like the heated seats are turned on. Heat is concentrated in the middle of my back
  7. I am actively considering a 2015 Edge Sport but am a bit concerned about Sync. I have an Iphone 6 and have reviewed this forum and not heard any complaints although there is a history of bad performance. I was wondering if I could get feedback on how well Sync is working out?
