  1. Stop Sell Order was issued Friday in Canada
  2. Cant get the carpet...Hold on carpets from US.
  3. What dealer did you have the leak repaired at.
  4. From the looks of it, half the seam was missed...keep checking for any further water leak....
  5. No one will see it, rather have that then to pull the fender, hood and bumper for access.
  6. That picture is where Ford says is the issue...Engineer worked with a DSM and an outside leak company in Windsor at a dealership...Engineer instructed leak technician to seal that seam...sealed it and double checked with engineer...put water on it...water was still trickling in....
  7. ...all of the above, one rain, one good car wash can do it....When it starts...anytime, they are fixing these in the plant just after the water test....
  8. ...Ford and this company want to remain under the radar on this...It is an Oakville based Canadian Company that might start with Leak and end in pro... with branches all over Ontario B.C. and some in the US. I believe they have a guy in Kingston....
  9. ...More bull...from Ford. They don't have a clue or can get a handle on it. I spoke with the owner of the leak company Ford is using in Canada...They are fixing LOTS! They have 20 guys working around the clock fixing all these leaks at various dealerships. This company wants to remain "nameless" They are Oakville based, run/owned by an ex Ford Manager. Very interesting conversation I had but all off the record. Nothing was said that was disparaging about Ford or the Edge, Quite the opposite, he praised the Edge! just that there are some troubles and this leak company is fixing them all. They are taking out interiors, fixing all the known leaks after testing...disinfecting, cleaning bio-ciding(?) the floor pan and interior component and installing all new underlayment. It s taking them about 3-4 hours per vehicle. He tells me they have fixed around 400+ so far and next week they will be working from 6:00 a.m. until midnight every day and tis weekend they will knock off about 40 or so....
  10. A puddle will not get your car wet inside, as all the leaks are water entering from above....
  11. I hate to say it is common when a new model starts up, look at the GM Acadia's/Enclaves and the leaking sun roof issues for 2 years.... That is no excuse but with 1,400 new workers, new model, new robots new technology...there are "blips"....
  12. That is crazy...carpets are on a 2+ month back order, in the mean time there are companies out there replacing the under pad and drying and treating the carpets. Your mat should not have been put back on damp carpets, that is how you get that musty smell.
  13. There are about 8,000+ Edges sitting for parts shortages, various reworks etc....I would lift the rear seat and put my hands under the carpets if I were you.
  14. L/S lower "A" post Seams...R/S lower "A" post seams...R/S apron/cowl seams...L/S apron/cowl seams....L/S kick panel seam...R/S kick panels seams...L/S lower back panel seam...R/S lower back panel seam...various dash/bulkhead seams...L/S and R/S rocker seams....L/S and R/S roof seams at the front water fall...seams behind both L/S and R/S tail lights...Missing body plugs behind rear fascia cover an broken and missing clips behind rear fascia cover. This does not include leaking sun roof assemblies.....
  15. No TSB and no exact fix as every Edge is not the same...we are seeing a lot with water leaks in the spare tire area and running forward...
  16. This is one of 14 areas that has been identified. I am not saying this is actually leaking as when they put the pieces of metal together in the body build area there is supposed to be a heat activated sealer between the metal.
  17. This is not the correct area...this is looking from the door open, forward not the fender. What you see here is added insulation to keep crap out of the door sill area...no issues here.
  18. he leak is in various spots and ends up in the rear of both sides...the floor is 6" deep with foam n top. It can hold a lot of water and the sloshing is either from the water building up under the foam that you can't see, feel, or pull the black plastic rectangular plugs out of the bottom of the doors that are holding in excess water. There are hinge seam for the hood leaking, cowl seams, and various other places. Figure new vehicle 1,400 new workers and no training. Things happen.
