Why would an exhaust void your warranty? It does not work like that. The dealer would have to prove evidence that the modification directly caused the issue you're looking to have repaired with your warranty. Tuning (increasing boost) would be a bigger concern from a warranty perspective than an exhaust, obviously.

As someone mentioned, for performance, catless downpipes will help. Potentially a better header as well depending on the current design. As for a full exhaust, I found you change it for the sound it makes, not the performance it provides (once you have done the downpipes).

Any custom exhausts out there yet?

Thanks 27. I guess it's all Pirelli with Ford, I guess I should not be surprised. Looks like I'll be going with the AS as my dealer is working a trade with another dealer. Now just need to get a deal done. Thanks redlancer for the review of the ASs.

Yeah, for the 21s.

I've searched, but does anyone know the actual summer tire used? I have not seen one Edge in my area (NJ) with them actually optioned on. And looking at summer tire prices for 21" wheels, $995 is a freaking steal. And even though my area doesn't really require a winter wheel/tire setup, I like to go that route. And for those who have stayed with the AS, have you liked the Pirelli's that are on? I have had Pirelli's on older Audis and have hated them. So it's a mild concern of mine to have a new vehicle with Pirellis. They do get good reviews on tirerack but curious what owners here feel.

I dunno as I don't have an Edge yet. The one I test drove I don't remember that sound. And having owned a few german turbo v6s (including an older 2.7L TT Audi), I don't remember any such sounds. Does it come back at idle all of the time or is just when you start the car?

I've been going back and forth between the bronze and red but started to lean Bronze and after seeing the pics in this thread, definitely going bronze now with the 21s. Great looking color. The dealer I visited didn't have the color in the edge, but it looked pretty bland in a sunless sky on a car (forget which model). So wasn't sure. But seeing these pics in the sun definitely make it the one. Great color, and I won't have to worry about seeing myself everywhere as more folks buy this new generation.

I would assume the difference between the Edge Sport and MKX with the 2.7L TT is just boost. They turned the boost up on the MKX a pound or two to differentiate the "luxury" brand and as others noted, overcome some of the extra weight in the MKX. I doubt it's much more than that. I wonder when the market will come out with tunes for the entire ecoboost range the way BMW and Audi/VW have for their turbo engines. And now that the Mustang has an ecoboost engine, I would think someone is working on it.
