  1. I finally got word back from the Ford dealership I placed my vehicle order from that our 2015 Ford Edge SEL has been pulled and is sitting in secondary inspection. The vehicle was built 3 weeks ago and has not been released for shipment yet. I was told that there would be a wait time of 8 weeks from time of order until delivery date. It has now been 13 weeks and no vehicle yet. Apparently the district manager is now involved to find out why the vehicle is being held and if and when it will be shipped. I'm a tad annoyed to say the least as this is only an SEL trim and aside from leather interior has no other options. If the vehicle is being repaired due to defects then I really don't want it at all. If Ford is going over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb doing quality control then I am ok with that. I'm just not sure why it has been held for so long?
  2. I have the active grill shutters on my Escape. I like that fact that they close on the highway which helps to keep rocks and other debris from hitting the radiator. I also find my engine bay stays much cleaner.
  3. AutoAnything.com is where I have purchased mat and floor liners from for my Escape and for our new Edge. They offer free shipping and if you don't have any online coupons you can ask for a better deal and they will lower their price by $30 or more. I have an address in Michigan where I have my items shipped to so that I don't have to pay shipping or duty costs as I live in Canada.
  4. Excellent thank you Looks like the 2016 Edge build out date has been pushed back from November 16 to December 2nd. I guess the Oakville plant is still try to catch up on 2015 orders. Our delivery date has been pushed back twice already and looks to hopefully arrive at the end of November.
  5. Hopefully this issue has been fully resolved on all new builds. I'm still awaiting a build date for our new 2015 Edge SEL. It's been 11 weeks and no build date yet. An interesting note though as it looks like Ford did make some changes in late May/June "Beginning with 2015 models built after May 2015, the door hinge pillar was reinforced to improve occupant protection in small overlap frontal crashes. (Information about when a specific vehicle was manufactured is on the certification label typically affixed to the car on the driver door or adjacent B-pillar.) The tested Edge was built after this change was made on the assembly line." http://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/vehicle/v/ford/edge-4-door-suv

  7. I have the WeatherTech cargo mat waiting to go into our new Edge I have the WeatherTech cargo liner in my Escape and like the way it fits
  8. My wife and I have ordered a new 2015 Ford Edge SEL. I just wanted to say hi and hope I can learn more about the vehicle from this forum. Our Edge has been on order since August with no current build date. Hopefully the wait won't be much longer http://www.etis.ford.com/ http://researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Number-Lookup/WindowSticker/Ford.html
