I drive the Edge, my wife drives the MINIVAN
-
Living in Minneapolis, page 62 'Avoid Area' feature was programmed today. Unfortunately it may be years before they can rebuild the bridge. Not that I am complaining, thank heaven's my family, friends and co-workers were all seemingly out of harm's way. My usual 18-20 minute commute turned into 45 today........

He doesn't have a vehicle on which to mount it......
-
You are correct, the Edge is the answer to te question that was never asked. I kind of stumbled into mine as well......
-
Those pop-ups are nice, but I really want all the goodies with it, shower, A/C etc. I am probalby just going to have to use my husband F-150. But his truck doesnt have all the goodies my Edge does.
We do have A/C but indeed the private bath would be nice, that's about all I would like, but then you have to deal with grey water too.... and they seem to be over twice as expensive.

I just towed my tent-trailer 1,000+ miles over the fourth of July. Averaged 15 miles per gallon and some of the trip was in hilly conditions (I hesitate to say mountains in the Black Hills but....). No complaints on either the camper or the tow vehicle. It is a nice camper if you are looking to enter the field. Sleeps 8 so most definitely much bigger than a closet.....
Unloaded wieght? 1,555 LBS Well within the recommended range.

Is there a fuse you could pull or is it integrated with other devices? Hmmmmmm.....
-
Mine sucks too. It's good if a Hoover sucks or an A/C blows but it's not good if an A/C sucks.........
-
I saw this on another forum, can't remember where now but seems pretty slick and INEXPENSIVE....
Anyone try this yet? I may hint for it this Father's day.
-
The only time it REALLY ticks me off is when I am hooking up my trailer. P.I.T.A. then and I use it a lot in the summer.

A gal in my office mentioned to me she was going to trade her Pilot for a Murano. I told her about the Edge and even had her drive mine. She said she loved it and everything seemed to make sense to her. Then her husband sumarily vetoed the Edge without even researching them or seeing one to my knowledge. His answer? 'Ford puts the water pump inside the engine block'. Whether that's true or not, it hardly seems like a reason to not buy a better product for less money........ Sounds like an excuse more than anything to me.
Go figure.....long, long, road for Ford.

Well, here I am, referred here by Jimmerz, another member. I was at another forum, but it had been abandoned by the administrator, so in the end it just got infested with spams and porn. Anyway, this site is so impressive with so much info. and photos. I've uploaded a few of mine to share. Look foward to reading and sharing more info. :yup:
Mr Yuen, I guarantee you will like this forum much better, or I will give you your money back......

Your second car is a HELLUVA lot better than my caravan!!! Welcome FordBoy

Very very nice....
Safe to say it was significantly LESS than the factory option with MORE functionality?
-
Very sharp color, have not seen that one yet.
Welcome MNedge, I live in the cities myself, haven't been to Morris since about 1992 (my sister went to school out there...)
The Edge is a lot of fun to drive in our climate, you'll soon find out!

How far is Watertown from Minneapolis?

I Couldn't get your first link to work but here's one that should for an Edge. Click Here
On a side note, is this one Charcoal or Stone Interior on that link? I was told I have stone but mine looks very tan-like. I am a touch color blind as well though.

Thanks for the footwork and heads up!

For those of you looking for a little more volume for your ipod using the console aux in, try the Belkin Ipod doc connector. It has an amplifier to give you some extra volume, and it uses the dock connectors audio out (with a stereo plug).
Sounds clear, loud and is reasonably priced.

So I plug that into the bottom of my Ipod then the audio cord goes from that to the input in the console? Very nice. Does it charge as well? I would assume so......

I love my new Edge but I am not impressed with the heated seats. They do not get nice and toasty like other cars I have owned in the past. Anyone else feel the same way?
Either yours are defective or mine are. Mine get so hot they make me sweat in less than 2 minutes when I have them on full power. I would have yours checked.
My only gripe about them is the control location. It is very VERY hard for me not to turn on my passenger heated seat on hot days when my wife is not looking . I can't resist the impulse but then of course, she pranks me back often as well. The design on the Explorer prohibited this sophmoric behavior.
