  1. I am using a standard Apple USB Lightning cable. I will try the reset.
  2. Another problem I have is with Navigation. I put in an address 2 hours from me in a not so small town. I've been there before but wanted to test Sync's navigation functions. All is well except for when i get into town. 3 miles from my destination, Sync says I've arrived and stops navigating. My phone however shows the location correctly and that I still have 3 miles to go. Thoughts? Anyone else have random addressing issues with Sync?
  3. So driving yesterday i plug my iphone into the usb port in front of the shifter. Normally my phone is detected via BT. Now Sync 3 sees it connected via USB. In Audio - i select the pandora application. All is well, my phone is charging and i'm listening to music. Then nothing. No music, phone goes back to normal (was showing the Ford logo with the up/down arrows) and the Sync 3 screen is unresponsive. None of the navigation keys on Sync 3 respond. I then unplug my phone and Sync all of a sudden wakes up and switches back to the radio and returns to normal. I think it's a fluke. However this happens 3 more times. This happens if i connect to the iphone and play pandora, or use the pandora app from Sync. Otherwise it seems to work fine. I can consistently replicate the issue but the amount of time that goes by before it locks varies from 5-10 minutes or so. Disconnecting the phone from the USB port is the only resolution.
  4. That's in the left menu under vehicle settings. It is checked. I do not hear the locks unlock when i put the vehicle in park or open my door which is what i want. Basically, if i put the vehicle in park, all doors should unlock regardless of the key's location. Example, picking up a passenger who is trying to open the rear door.
  5. Yes - i've noticed that the interior door ambient light is red when i open the door. How do i turn that off? I am grabbing the inside of the handle. My mustang has the same system and I've had zero issues with it.
  6. I own a 2016 Edge Sport. Been having some issues with the MyKey IA. I've combed through the manual but some settings and understanding their purpose are just not explained. Here are a couple example scenarios: 1: Car on, pull into parking spot. Put it in park, get out. Try to open rear door, rear door is locked. Had to pull on it 4 times before it unlocked. Keep in mind, the key was in my pocket. Why is the rear door locked? When in Park, why are not all doors auto-unlocked (which per the manual is supposed to happen as I read it)? 2: Walk up to car and try to open rear door first. Key in my pocket. Door doesn't unlock. I have to open the front door first. Seems odd considering all 4 doors are supposed to be MyKey/IA accessible. 3: Park car. Get out. Key in pocket. Open passenger front door, then close it. Go back around and try to open rear driver's door. Locked. Have to pull on handle 5 times before it decides to unlock. Again, why? Behavior should be consistent. This gets frustrating when trying to drop the kids off at school or get some things out after parking.
  7. In other vehicles including my mustang, when a message is received and i tell it to to text to speech and read it to me, the background volume of the radio is lowered or muted. I noticed on my 2016 Edge Sport, when the message is read, the radio volume in the background continues to play at the same volume. This makes it difficult to hear the message and distracting. I've gone through all of the settings and cannot find one that references message playback volume or muting music playback when a message is read. Anyone else?
  8. Go into the menu for driver assist and you can change the Steering in D and S modes. S mode is for the transmission and throttle. But you can set the steering as well. I didn't notice any difference. Maybe I need to mess with it more.
  9. Nice to see the difference in launching with and without TC. Also noticed there wasn't too much wheel hop which is good. How was the torque steer? Mine is AWD and I have yet to launch it from a dead stop. Still breaking it in but can't wait.
  10. New 2016 Ford Edge Sport owner. Likes Power Looks Ingress/Egress Bang for buck Dislikes (these are very nitpicky) LED bumper lights (pointless - hate this latest fad) DRL's (use standard halogen H15 and since there are the LED's in the bumper, why headlight DRL's as well) High beam is HID bixenon instead of using the H15 reflector housing (again why?) Lane Keep assist button on blinker stock - I keep hitting it and turning it on/off (why is this not in the menu) No Traction Control button - This is in the menu (why?) Left TFT screen uses blue background but some of the vertical gauges like RPM, Engine Temp, are also blue (WTF - talk about not being able to glance down and read quickly) Can't have standard RPM gauge and some sort of Fuel Economy gauge at the same time Right TFT screen is really designed poorly. Radio (which I have a big giant screen 3" to the right, NAV, again big giant NAV screen 3" to the right, and phone (which i personally don't use at all) DayTime color for Sync3 is just ugly. Would have preferred all black but night mode is too dark with sunglasses on Rear seats do not fold as flat as I'd like. Rear exhaust is just ugly. the standard Edge round tips look far better Too many beeps from the 360 collision detection. I never know what beep means what without looking at the screen. It'd be nice if the sound originated roughly from where the proximity alert comes from. Main center cupholders should be in front of the shifter, not behind. Sport mode for the steering doesn't feel any different than standard Sport mode should use 6th gear Puddle lamps and Rear license plate lights are Halogen yet everything else is LED (again, why, my Mustang uses LED's in the license plate lights) Again - I'm really being nitpicky. These are all things that I will adapt too, just wish a bit better choices were made by Ford or allow more customization by the owner. Still, great car vs. my old 4Runner which had no tech anywhere near what Ford offers for similar money and was a 2015.
