  1. The problem on the 2.0 is the pcv is on the side of the engine between the intake and block so I would have to mount the catch can close to the bottom of the bumper somewhere. I figured since most of what comes out of the pcv is vapors it shouldn't matter if it's high or low. It's just riding the engine vacuum, shouldn't be sucking oil out then the vapor condenses in the catch can.
  2. Do you think it matters if it's mounted high or low in the engine bay? You're right this system has been a pain in my ass since day 1!
  3. 2017 edge with a 2.0. Found oil in the compressor pipes going from the turbo to intercooler,in the intercooler and the pipe going under the engine. Took it all apart once, cleaned everything about a year later it's got oil in it again. I have the team xrp double can catch can kit. Needless to say, there is never any oil or liquid of any kind in it. WTF is going on?
  4. Sooooo if your flex plate is not cracked, is there a chance it eventually will and will they cover it? Or is this like a limited time offer?
  5. If your vehicle falls within the guidelines of the recall, I'm pretty sure you can tell em to pound sand.
  6. Working on the beast today I figured I'd check the fluids and give it a once over. While it was idling, I opened the oil fill and that was a horrid clicking noise coming from inside. I put the cap back on, no noise. I've done this before but have never heard that noise and it's very concerning. I only have 57000 miles on it.
  7. Selling my year old Team RXP dual catch can system. Comes with everything needed plus drain fittings. Has the extra CSS can that replaces the CSS oil fill cap. This kit is "Universal". Has the quick connect stock fittings. $300 plus shipping
  8. Just alittl over 51k on the 2017. Do these usually go bad?

  10. I put mine on about 6 months ago, maybe more. I love it but makes me wonder if that extra air its letting off instead of recirculating is taking some performance away.
  11. Supposedly the problems I was having was with the check valves. They didnt have springs in them. Once James from Rxp sent me the springs, I started getting alittle moisture and drops of oil in the catch can. The hose that comes from the PC, I can squeeze and feel the engine pulling vacuum through there. Now that I'm thinking about it, the hoses could be the wrong kind for a vacuum line.
  12. That is very possible. I really didnt look too much inside the intake and this is the first time taking that inlet off. The valves looked pretty clean still when I first installed the catch can and removed the intake. The only thing I do notice is the smell of hot oil while I'm driving, which is odd.
  13. Temp sensor in transfer case didnt go over 180F on a 45 min cruise/stop and go. Seems happy.
  14. I've had the RXP dual can set up for about 10 months now (about 8 months working properly)
  15. Changed the fluid in the rear, well sucked it all out. Got almost 400mls. The rear has more than the PTU? That's weird.
  16. Drained PTU got about 350 MLS, which doesn't seem like that much. A quart has 946 MLS in it. Fluid was dark and stinky but shavings were at a minimum. Used a magnet in the cup and only found very very small metal shavings.
  17. I'm changing fluids today and of course you want to move everything you can for easy access. I take the intake tube off that goes from the compressor side back of the engine across the bottom and to the intercooler. I look at the tube on the rear engine side, not that much oil. I put my finger into the intercooler side and holy shit. My fingers are covered and the oil is extremely dirty.
  18. 2017 Didnt check if there is a drain plug. I wouldn't flush it if it didnt have 1 anyway
  19. I'm changing my PTU fluid this weekend, wondering if there is a solvent I could put in to do a quick clean out (Seafoam)?
  20. Also if I waited for the oil monitor to change my oil, I would be doing it once a year. Seems like a long time.
  21. I dont floor it everywhere. Mostly give it a good shot when getting on the highway. I more or less enjoy the function and longevity. I like a perfect running machine.
