  1. Hmm. I got ForScan, licensed and a USB ELM Config from ohp with the switch. I can see the IPC module but my default config for the 720-05-01 is D028 0000 00B0 which does not match the details given in the linked modsheet which should be D8B8 xxxx xxxx (no Nav). I'm sure it is something simple but darned if I can see it. --> Does anyone have a 2017/18 with nav and who would be willing to read the 720-05-01 block in their IPC and report back? I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks@
  2. I recently installed a NAV-enabled APIM in my 2018 2.0T SEL. The APIM was programmed with the correct VIN and the center 8" screen works fine.I can't recall completely, but my memory of rental Edges' is that the Nav menu also shows up in the right hand display in the main instrument cluster. Can anyone confirm whether that is true or not? Further if it is correct, does anyone know how to enable it, I presume a visit to the dealer.... TIA - Tim
  3. Quick question, does anyone know how easy/feasible it would be to add the original factory sub to the original 9-speaker system on the SE (with option 201A). I'm no audiophile but the system is really lacking in bass, but at the same time I don't want to mess around with custom boxes, amplifiers etc. I just want an easy way to add a bit of bass. The 9 speaker system on the 2018 is woefully under-documented IMHO. Thanks - Tim
  4. I just noticed my 2018 lease (company) SEL in Ingot silver has massive paint ridge that goes from ones side right the way to the other side.It came like this from the factory.... Not good. Initially it's hard to see as it is ~3" under the red reflective thing that goes from one side to the other, but once you have seen it there's no way to un-see it. My eagle eyed teenager first pointed it out to me....
  5. I tapped in from the fuse box under the steering wheel with a save-a-fuse. Hardest part was getting the fuse out and back in, it is a bugger to get to. I think it was F22 or F26. Accessory fuse anyway. I poked around in the mirror area and could not find anything useful to tap into. Mine was for a dashcam BTW.
  6. Ding ding ding we have a winner. This was my exact scenario. GPS speed reads normal when not in Carplay mode (i.e.no USB attached). What the heck! As a h/w guy I have no idea how or why this would be the case, but it certainly was the issue. That is bizarre. A big thank you Candurin!
  7. I have a 2018 Edge SEL, new on May 2nd, I am the first owner and took delivery of it with 50 miles on the clock. Absolutely bone stock. Today I had a 300 mile trip and noticed that when I was doing a steady 70 MPH, with cruise on, Waze was telling me I was doing 83 MPH. I did a double take and then stopped, downloaded a GPS information app for my iPhone 8 and 6S and got the same results. Both phones were telling me I was doing 83MPH and the car speedometer was dead on 70 and the cruise said 70MPH. Having worked on GPS at a very intimate level, I am absolutely sure that the GPS derived speed was correct (I had between 7 and 10 satellites in-view so accuracy was pretty high). I am shocked that the speedometer can be this far off on a brand new modern car.... I normally drive 5 over at 70 MPH but 13 over is firmly in ticketing territory! Any ideas what is going on and how I can get the issue addressed? Has anyone else seen weird issues with their speedometer? Thanks
