  1. I broke the same clip. I used a zip tie to get me through and found replacements at Autozone.

This may not help, but the sound you described is similar to the one I just had. I replaced both the serpentine and stretchy belt, along with the tensioner and no more noises. It almost sounded like a bad pulley and the inner stretch belt definitely had cracks on it.
  3. Welcome and there is a section specifically for technical questions. It is even broken down by model year.
  4. Welcome to the forum and I recently joined myself after purchasing my Edge. Also a Ford guy my entire life and right down the road from you, so if you ever need a hand with any repairs, look me up.
  5. Like WWWPerfA said, there are no panels to completely remove, although you do need to remove a few push pins for the inner fender. This will give you enough access to remove and unplug the wheel speed sensor, which runs toward the front of the vehicle. I would try cleaning yours, which only requires an 8mm socket to remove. Wipe them down and look over the wire real good.
  6. I just fought this battle myself. After checking everything, I found a chafed wire on the wheel speed sensor, which impacts both Advancetrac and ABS. Picked up a new sensor, swapped it out and fixed my problem.
  7. Prob the right move, Cincy. While the plug swap is pretty straight forward, that is the case for people that have turned a wrench or two. I work on all my own vehicles and thought the Edge was more time consuming, but not complex considering you need to remove the plastic intake. I like the rubber gaskets Ford chose and ease of reaching the bolts. Definitely more involved than most plug swaps though and glad you had a friend help to save some cash.
  8. Like TRMN8TR said, no plastic cladding or cover on the 22" Sport wheels. Your initial hunch is probably right
  9. I think you will be fine. We have the vista roof in our Flex, but not on the Edge. While I got the Sport, it is missing a bunch of options that most have like vista roof, BLIS, adaptive cruise, etc. I'd rather not have the vista roof or any roof hole for that matter, so I'm good with it. Enjoy ripping up the mountains just past Ocotillo. I always enjoyed trips over to San Diego for that very reason.
  10. Congrats on the purchase and I am jealous of those miles. I just picked up mine early last week and it has 100k more miles on the odometer. Got it all cleaned up and ready for the road though. What part of Arizona are you located? I lived in Yuma on two different occasions and miss the desert.
  11. I can echo Macs feelings toward Monroe. I put a set of Monroe Quickstruts on my wifes Flex, mainly due to price and ease of swap. I replaced all the other front end components with either Moog or Motorcraft parts and afterwards I was getting a binding sound. I could not track it down and checked everything multiple times. Turns out it was the Moog strut bearings binding when you turned the wheel. I had to completely disassemble everything, grab a spring compressor, and replace the strut bearings with Motorcraft. Half a day later, it was back together and quiet as a mouse. Monroe is dead to me!
  12. Thats even more of a unicorn. Ive never had luck on any forums with trading items. Usually have to buy what you want and subsequently sell the old stuff.
  13. I would be willing to buy your roof strips if you were closer. Mine are faded and brittle, with replacements from Ford costing quite a bit.
