  1. I suppose there's never too many places to store things, so I'll probably look into since the housing appears to be the same. Nothing ventured — nothing gained. Thanks for the tip
  2. I believe I found where fuse taps were installed, which explains why I don't see any on the fuse panel. I didn't follow the wires because the pavement was too hot to kneel on for long, but it would appear they were somehow installed near the OBDII module. I'll have my dealership confirm the wiring is acceptable the next time I'm in for service.
  3. I think they eliminated that feature on the '19s; at least, mine doesn't have a change compartment. Now, it's only an access panel.
  4. I'm not too sure; I didn't ask, and he didn't complain. I wonder if he tapped into the fuses under the hood because I can't see any taps installed, and the charge was $10 for two taps. I suppose I could call and ask, just out of curiosity.
  5. Great to hear, thanks. I haven't enabled parking mode yet, but I thought it was odd that I couldn't set it to less than 12 hours. 3-6 hours would suffice for my needs, but I guess they can't please everyone. By the sounds of it, the system may not even achieve 3 hours anyway One thing I have learned is that if the windshield or lens have any smudges, the video is blurred. Once the novelty wears off and I stop taking the camera inside to download video directly off the SD card, I'll make sure everything is ultra clean and leave it alone. I agree with you both, the installer earned his fee ($170 CDN). It took him two hours to do the job, and by the looks of it the fuse panel is a b*tch to reach, so he earned it.
  6. I purchased a two-channel dash camera system and hired a professional installer to complete the fuse-tap and conceal the wiring. I'm not keen on aftermarket items being noticeable to passers-by when the vehicle is unattended, so the trade-off for discreet placement of the front camera is a partially obstructed view because of Ford's windshield housing (picture attached). The parking mode module is configured for a 12-hour timeout or a 12V (±0.1V) cut-off, and there's a manual shut-off switch installed in the glove compartment. My dealership recommended a 12.5V cut-off, if possible, but the installer told me it wouldn't enable in that setting. The installer also assured me that the Edge's electrical system will cut power to the camera system, regardless of what my settings are, to ensure reliable, year-round starts. Has anyone else installed a similar aftermarket item that's capable of drawing battery power with the ignition off?
  7. I ordered a dash camera yesterday, including a hardwiring kit with discharge prevention features. It wouldn't surprise me to see this technology become a factory option in the future.
  8. Is your headlamp dial set to the automatic position?
  9. According to the manual, on page 107, the Lighting menu should consist of the following items (if optionally equipped):
  10. I really only posted the picture for others to see since Ford doesn't show what you're getting for your money on their website. There could be a first time, agreed. I don't usually buy accessories, but with this vehicle, I decided to go all out with every option available (except the towing package) to the Titanium.
  11. My vehicle was done today. Only details listed are: Complaint: 19B11 Headlight Reprogram Correction: 19B11.3 The Adaptive Headlamp menu (as described in the manual) is still absent from my information display panel.
  12. Mine installed with bubbles that they can't work out, s o they ordered a replacement. If it weren't a part of the cargo accessory package, I likely wouldn't have bought one on its own.
  13. Does the FSA (19B11) also add Adaptive Headlamp options in the information display? (Pg. 107 of the manual: Lighting -> Adaptive Headlamps -> Traffic Set Up -> Select Setting). I'm waiting for a part to arrive for unrelated service, so they'll be updating my vehicle as well.
  14. The question was, "Wanted to ask the owners here what was your mileage on the car when you took delivery?" I don't feel ridiculous at all for answering, but thanks for the additional information.
  15. Mine had 6 km on it at the original dealership. I took delivery of it with 150 km, but the additional mileage was logged to get it to me for the sale.
