Ok, so I finally found one in stock at Rock Auto. And it’s was cheaper than anywhere else.

I had this same issue on my fusion when I had it. The self sealing fuel door was sounding like it was farting or vibrating because of the bad valve. Glad to know it's a similar issue here.

Please excuse my ignorance. Do I need the fuel vapor separator valve solenoid Or purge valve or are they the same part? Do I need the entire tube assembly? Thank you in advance

The one for my fusion came with the tubes attached.
This was the part I replaced on my fusion

looks like they have a different listing for the different engine types of the 2015 Edge. Not sure why but the 2.7L looks most similar to what i had to replace on my 2013 Fusion 2.0.

  2. I am having a similar issue on my 2016. It seems to be the worst when it has sat overnight or for at least 8 to 10 hours. I am going to get a battery test done and see what happens with the results

Based on general engineering knowledge and a gear head to boot, I wouldn't even give a second thought to attempting a 4 Cyl gasoline engine tow trip of that capacity and would be reluctant with a tow package...of course unless it was a diesel...wish you well...?

Definitely agree that it's probably over the limit of a safe towing capacity with that configuration. Even if the 4 cylinder engines of today make similar power to previous generations of 6 cylinder

  4. hopefully you find the leak path. Maybe there is a spot to seal it off. Those controls shouldnt touch the outside though. Maybe there is somewhere else it is leaking into the roof then it's coming through there to get into the passenger compartment?

For its worth, Ford's TSB 18-2339 for fixing "Dirt/Dust And/Or Ice Accumulation At The Bottom Inside Of Doors" also involves replacing the rear dear "rear portion" weatherstripping with updated parts and a "Grip Tape" that helps  hold the said weatherstrips better. In addition a "Foam Patch" is also installed on the door itself to better "push" against the weatherstrip.

    Great find!

The blue ones in your pic are the ones I have now on the factory 18"s.  I want those in black....assuming they will fit the 20's.

    That would certainly look great!

Looks like they have some on ebay as Gadgetjq mentioned.

  7. Black center caps?

I have a 2016 that has black caps but they are more of an entire wheel cover rather than a center cap.

Further, I have never really seen the ones I have on any other vehicle or in the brochure for the 2016 Edge. Not really sure where they came from since I bought it used.

Ford is rolling out V3.0_19149 as of this weekend.  Looks to be released on the dealer side first as I was able to upgrade mine through the official dealer process (OASIS/IDS) however the owner site did not reflect the download being available just prior to upgrading it via the dealer method.  I checked before hand just to make sure.  It does correct the IOS Speedometer issue.  Be patient...Ford tends to roll out updates by vehicle models so some may have it and some may not at this point.

Thanks Jason.  It seems as though JR3T-14G381-AR has been rolled out in EU, but not in the US just yet.  I'll gladly wait for Monday.

Currently, when my wife stares at the CarPlay screen, she gets really pissed when she sees that Im traveling over 90mph in a 65mph zone in Waze.

Ford has rolled it out in UK from what I saw on the Sync forum. I received a download link for the official release if you're interested in having it early. I previously installed an unofficial update "Sync3_3.0_19119" and I can confirm that it does fix the speed issue in Waze. Much nicer being able to have alerts turned on.

Let me know if you want that download link.

  9. There was just a recent update released for the Sync 3 software. I haven't seen the link on my owner site just yet, but I've been told it's available. There are download links to the unofficial release of v3.0.19119 if you want to try that. I did it and it works much better than the previous version.

I wasn't having the radio issues you are but it could very well be that there is a glitch in the file they flashed. You can perform these updates yourself without having to go to the dealer.

I had to update the USB module on my 2016 Edge SEL but I have an iPhone and it requires a specific module that wasn't included in 2016 to have CarPlay work. Sounds like Android Auto doesn't require a special module, which is a nice part for you.

These recent Sync system updates are addressing issues with GPS location information. My concern previously was specifically for speed data

    From the service manual:

The IPC provides a tolerance that allows the speed indication to display between 3% below and 7% above the actual vehicle speed. This means that with an actual vehicle speed of 97 km/h (60 mph), the speedometer can indicate between 94-103 km/h (58-64 mph). Incorrect axle ratio, tire size or tire size configuration could potentially affect the speedometer accuracy.

Thanks a bunch! That is a crazy amount of allowed tolerance between the digital display and the gauge. Thank you for the good info on this though :)

  11. Yes there is on-going discussion about this on the Waze forums as well. I believe this is an issue with the CarPlay integration of the vehicle. One thing I know for sure, prior to installing the CarPlay USB module in my 2016, I was using the AppLink to display Waze on the in-dash display and the speeds were properly displayed. After CarPlay addition, now the speed is off by 4-5 MPH at lower speeds and 8-10 MPH at higher speeds similar to what you've all noticed

  12. I've had my 2016 Edge SEL for about a month and a half or so and I've had this issue since I got it. The speedometer needle is always showing faster speeds than I am actually traveling. The digital speedometer display shows the correct value (based on my trial looking at separate GPS speed).

Is this due to some incorrect setting programming in the computer or is the speedometer gauge / needle controlled some other way? I wasn't sure if the wheel/tire size is separately programmed for the digital speedometer vs the gauge. It seems strange, but I know that sometimes there are different programming parameters for certain functions in the vehicle.
