I plugged it, I also dont use the washer fluid. In my 7 years I’ve never added washer fluid to the car. The dealer has prob topped it off but it has not been to one in 4 years.

The rear glass is still perfectly functional. I’ve never had any visibility issues looking in my rear view and not being able to see. Does look good tho

I agree, it looks really neat. But I could never be without the rear wiper. I have to use it nearly every single week of the year to keep the rear windscreen clear.

I just became the proud owner of a 2020 Ford Edge SEL. I really don’t know anything about this vehicle and I want to set up all the bells and whistles. I do know it is a quiet, nice ride and fun to drive. I’ll be searching the forums for all the stuff, and I’m sure I’ll have plenty of dumb questions!

Hi there, welcome to the forum.

I've owned 5 Fords. In order of ownership:

1985 Mustang GT (replaced by 89 below)

    2001 Ranger

    1989 Mustang Coupe (still own)

    2014 Explorer Sport (still own)

    2018 Edge Sport (newer addition)

    A few pics below.

The picture of the 85 was taken on Road America.20200625_130625.jpg

Just noticed how similar the Land Rover Discovery is to the Ford Explorer. Especially that wrap around rear screen.used range rover discovery sport > OFF-54% |

  4. Even though my Edge has done only 10,000 miles I noticed that the driver's side car-mat was getting worn-out already.

So instead of letting it deteriorate any further I decided to replace all four mats and put the Ford ones away for later.

There were a lot of replacements to choose from, and not too expensive either, so I thought I'd try a set with coloured edging. I chose what I thought might be a good match with the exterior. Not sure though whether I 100% like them. But they didn't cost much and can always replace them later if I decide I don't!

Not entirely true. My family had the following Fords:

    1975 Mercury Monarch

1985 Mark VII LSC (Got shorted out from a lightning strike)

    1987 Mark VII LSC

    1991 Jaguar XJ6

    1999 Navigator

Prior to Edges and wifey's Escape, I had the following:

    1977 Olds Cutlass

    1986 S10 Blazer 4x4

    1988 Caprice

    1994 Maxima GXE

    2002 Maxima SE

Immediately prior to the 2008 Edge, wifey and I had her 2000 Dodge Neon which was surprisingly a decent car. It died on 1/31/2008 when we bought the 2008 Edge.

Prior to the Escape, wifey had a 2013 300 and I got an expensive lesson ($3160) about that "stellar" Chrysler reliability.

My 2002 Maxima SE was a riot because I would embarrass many V8 cars from a roll. My Edges have been just as much fun.

This is my current 2018 SEL

That's a lovely Edge. I don't think I've ever seen one that colour before. The only red ones we have over here seem to be "Ruby Red" a much "redder" colour than that. Mind, you I've never seen one of those on the road either! The Edge is that rare that other than my Canyon Ridge Edge I've only actually seen black white and silver ones!

I have the one in the video. While it's not that obnoxious to remove and install, it can be a pain in the @$$ at times!

That's probably why they updated it.

The fact also the rear windows are all blacked-out is probably the reason why the cargo cover was never included as standard (well it wasn't here).

Picture link isn't working - cant you load it direct to the forum?

    Edit:

I'd say that you don't have an updated version, because it probably doesn't exist - that is the same as the one I bought early 2017.

Having seen the video of the 2016 Edge just posted by Omar I would say it probably does exist. My cargo cover is different.

I remembered seeing a different cargo cover somewhere, found it in this carwow review. At the 5:57 mark he removed and you can see how it's attached to the rear headrests.

Interesting. That's a 2016 Edge he's got there and it has a different cargo cover to the one I have in my 2018 Edge. Mine isn't attached at all to the rear seats. So I guess I have the updated version.
