  1. I tried... 2 days later I quit trying... I got it installed correctly, good voltage numbers registered everytime i hit a steering wheel button....just couldn't get the dang thing to program... got to the part where you have to push the buttons in a specific order and nada zip nothing... its now resting neatly in the cubby hole in my way back... I may try again someday...but just buying a wired Pioneer remote seems so much easier to me now their tech support is helpful but i went thru about 3 100 ohm resistors so you may wanna pick up a couple spares cuz it only comes with one and the wire snaps off them easily... then youre stuck doing resistor math trying to wire 2 together... lol PAIN!!!! but good luck let me know how it goes I'd love to get mine working...
  2. this might be a poor mans solution but I just installed interior accent LEDs that I wanted to work with the dome light delay and dial. I just tapped into the dome light and ran a wire down. theres 3 wires going into the housing, one constant, one ground and then the delay one (cant remember which is which but a tester would tell you.) i cut the delay wire and spliced into it so only my LEDs come on when i unlock/open the door but the constant power still allows the map lights to work when switched. I'm thinking puddle lamps may be my next project and this is how ill power them.
  3. I can Imagine the PITA aspect, especially if your cars sitting out in the draveway with no headlights... I'm thinking about attempting to do this but if so i think i will just get a used housing off Ebay, that way i can take my sweet old time. Two thumbs up on of my fav mods I've seen so far!!!!
  4. I got some cheap 12v LED strips that I am going to install in my 08 Edge. I got one for each of the front footwells, two to light up the rear footwell, and one long one I plan to run across the far back in front of the hatch latch. My question is does anyone one know an easy way to tap into the front dome light wiring? I want the LEDs to work with the Dome light (ie turn off after a few seconds turn on when unlocked) I can probably tap into the hatch dome light on the drivers side for the rear and hatch LEDs but is there an easier place to tap into the front dome light for the front footwells, others than diggin up underneath the head liner to find the wiring? thanks
  5. well I found it, its a little bit of a pain to get to. If you remove the trim panel directly below the steering wheel you can get at it a little better. Its a little switch that at the very top of the parking brake, I used the crimp on type of splicer. I connected mine to the blue wire coming off the sensor and it works fine. If you need let me know and I'll try to get you a pic tomorrow
  6. I too could use a lil help on this, I just installed a Pioneer AVIC-F700BT and everytime I go over 15 i get a warning stating my parking brake wire is improperly installed.... its fairly annoying
  7. yeah the old easy way of relocating the mute wire and grounding it with the parking brake wire doesn't work on my AVIC-700bt still waiting on someone finding a bypass option for that.... as of now i just need to find the parking brake sensor so i can ground it there.....
  8. I found this post which was uber helpful http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?sho...eed+sensor+wire
  9. I also could use a little help on this, I am in the process of installing a Pioneer AVIC-700BT and need to know where the speed sensor wire is. I didnt have factory Nav so theres nothing in the factory harness i can tap in to..i don't think... also any tips on finding the Ebrake sensor and easiest way to tap into the reverse lights would be sweet!
