Have a fan controller coming in today. Will see. In the meantime. Open hood, plug in fan, drive to destination, unplug fan.... LOL..... Thanks, Ron C.

Noticed cooling fan(s) was running the other day when I got home. Just thought it normal. But, Monday morning the car's battery was dead. And when I connected jumper cables the fan(s) came back on. Did some checking and this model, and it has a 2 channel fan relay (because of optional towing package ) mounted just under the air intake behind the radiator. Appears it's function is to turn on the fans with increase temperature. Tested with an ohm meter and found that one channel, the upper, is on all the time even when cold. Question, is this the only thing that controls the fans? Or is there some other control sending power when needed and then this device will ramp up the second fan as needed? Thanks, Ron C.

Another driver happy having found this thread. 2012 Limited with 78K Miles. Camera was showing all the same symptoms of others that have failed. Ordered one from EBAY $50 with crossed fingers. Seller double checked which Edge I had before shipping. Followed the Youtube video posted above for the "no-cutting repair"... Exception, I used the 11mm nuts you take off to remove the studs. Double nut the stud and remove the stud. Instead of vise grips. My connections were clean. Got it all put back together. Results in attached picture. Picture good and guide lines work now. Note: I had some evidence that someone had removed the inside hatch trim before. One nut was loose and fell out along with a nice phillips screw driver bit as I removed the trim. Just wanted to say thanks for maintaining this forum. Has been a valuable site for information. Had a 2012 Ecoboost Edge for 7 years as a company car. Needed to get a personal car and found this 2012 Limited on a friends car lot Oct 2022. 75k miles. Made some cosmetic changes it to it. Unique thing about this car is the front driver seat has a faint impression of the cattle brand from the original hide. Later, Ron in Amarillo
