Hey guys, wanted to ask help here with something I've been unable to find information about anywhere else.
I recently got a brand new Ford Edge SE 2022 and I love it but I have a problem: First let me start by saying this, I live in Panama, that's where I got the car on a local Ford dealership, the car as far as I can tell from the VIN was built in Canada.
Here is the problem: one of the first thing I tried when I got home was trying to check if there was any software updates for the Sync system, but to my surprise I'm unable to connect the car to a WiFi Network simply because the option on the connectivity menu its unavailable as you can see from the pictures. I'm able to use my iPhone with CarPlay no problem and able to connect my iPhone via Bluetooth no problem either to play music that way, but unable to connect the car to my iPhone hotspot or any other WiFi network at all.
I already tried to do a factory reset on the sync system and it did but still have the same problem. All I can think is that this is some kind of international country restrictions, I don't know, and I need help figuring this out.
Has anyone seen this before? or know how to work around it? I've seen on some posts here and elsewhere that some people use a software called FORScan do to some bypassing an enabling / disabling features, but can't find this specific issue there.
Appreciate any help anyone can provide
Thanks
