  1. isoprem, what dvd are you going to install?

The reason i ask, thre is a harness to obtain the sync. However to make it work you need a dvd with an aux. input.

    here is the harness: http://www.pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=919&CategoryID=26

    it costs $250.

This is why its a better deal just to invest in a radio with the bluetooth, and ipod since that is what sync really is. Not to mention you get a radio with it, then you control it all through that. With this you will have a control module that you do the sync functions through.

I you have the basic radio in the 09 its an easy swap. the harness is only like 15-20 then. dashkit, and antenna adaptor. about 50 or so for all

  2. just because people dont respond in a day you dont need to bump your own threads.

we need more info about your product? is this an over head dvd with screen or what?

me personally i would wire it directly to the ignition harness for the 12+ and accy. and put a fuse inline on each. Domelight you can tap into the light, however you need to know if your input to the dvd needs to be + or -, also then you need to figure out if the domelight is + or -.

  3. Yes warranty-able, however you will just get another factory speaker. aftermarket you will get much better sound.

No it will not void any warranty.

Dealer may try and say that if you install something aftermarket it will void the warranty. There is a law against this (magnusson/moss act spelling may be off). It states that if the aftermarket accessory is not directly related to the issue they have to preform the warranty work.

So in your case they wont be able to warranty the speaker.

  4. your mic will be going to the sync module. you will need to find it and maybe be able to use the wire there. orelse you can put the pioneer mic into the mirror also.

Once you pull out the radio you will see the gps and the radio antenna. gps may or may not depending on what manu made the factory radio (sony, pioneer).

If you want it to mute for the parking assist what i would do is relay off the reverse lights to break the accessory power wire for the pioneer, unless the pioneer has a "mute wire" then you can go to that.

  5. 1. look online and figure it out. Sorry its ILLEGAL in all 50 states to have it bypassed while the vehicle is in motion. Legally it could come back to the people that tell you if something was to happen.

    2. vss wire. most until will work if you dont hook it up. however if the antenna looses signal (like going through a tunnel) it wont be as accurate as it would be if hooked up. as for a location. my tech sheets say at the wiper motor (purple/orange wire) or at the PCM same color.

  6. more than likely the factory one will be controlled through the SJB (smart junction box). So this will have to be re-programmed. You will need the plastic panel in the rear, the actuator, switch, switch bezel (when no lift its just a flat spot on the dash), wiring, any mounting hardware for the actuator

As for the parts i would look into a totaled vehicle.

The question is how much do you want to spend? anything can happen for a price. I personally dont see it happening for less than 1500-2000.

  7. In able to keep sync you will need the sync retention harness. However depends on the aftermarket unit you buy it may come with all the sync functions built in (bluetooth and ipod/usb). The sync retention harnesses are about $200-250. IMO dont worry about sync and just get the harness that you will need. If you want to retain your steering wheel controls (if you have them) you will need a module for that also. They go for abotu $80-125.
