Sorry to hear about your problems. Your beef is with the dealer and I think that FORD will be able to step in (maybe I am wrong). If your EDGE is not properly fix document,document and document again...specially pictures....talk to a general manager (document) and then go see a good attorney with all that godd DOCUMENTATION and PICTURES and them for loss of use, bad work etc. the attorney will be able to direct your efforts and what to demand from the dealership. I used LEXOL all the time and for a very long time..specially on my 85 Mustang SVO (concourse show car)... The cleaner as well as the conditioner....

Sorry to hear about your problem, but this is one of the problems that one may have when installing after market stuff..and the worst is yet to come when the dealer will tell you ..."sorry..that problems is due to....,not covered by FORD warranty"...fill the blank to whatever item was installed... good luck to you...and let us know how it went afterall is said and done..

This is what was posted in EDMONDS by someone who appears to be a ford salesperson....I wonder if there is any validity to his comments...... "If you want a LIMITED, ORDER IT EARLY. Synch is standard and Synch is in limited availability!. (thats a whole other rant) " Does this mean that at one point the SYNC option may disappear from the LIMITED?....

I hate to be the carrier of bad news,but Ford does not offer backup camera on the EDGE,as a matter of fact, i don't think Ford offers it at all not yet...adding the baclup sensors may quite a task since the sensors are embedded in the rubber bumper,maybe someone here knows better..god luck on the new EDGE

This is great to have you guys here so you can keep "close buyers" aware of what is going on. As I have metioned in the past, I think i should be ordering towards Nov,Dec time frame so when the EDGE arrives it will close to the end of my Expedition inAprileven thou I am willing to take a 2 months hit...that is how much i like the EDGE. Somehow I knew I would meet you here...welcome and good luck on your EDGE,maybe you could be the reason that I finally decide to go the EDGE route rather than the CX 9...this will happen,God's help, towards the end of the 2007...so i will be dealing with a 2008....and you were right foe a few thousands (about $7k) the EDGE Limited will be a better deal than a CX 9GT loaded...again enjoy it in the best of health..

This is a coment in another group posting (EDMONDS) by someone that just placed an order for 2008 EDGE LIMITED (NOT AWD).... "Black Limited, camel leather, BAMR, Nav, 20" wheels, power rear hatch, basically everything you can get except AWD. They gave no clue on time, but did offer an interesting comment on the SYNC system. They feel that the Limiteds will still get built even if SYNC is not ready yet with a price reduction for the stand alone option cost then simply add the cost back in when the SYNC becomes available. They wanted to know if SYNC ".... Does anyone "connected" with FORD heard about this option concerning the SYNC...or is the dealer blowing smoke ...you know where?...

Didn't you order your 08 too soon?....from what I hear production on the 08 EDGE is scheduled for the week of Sept . 17.....

Thnk you, I think that if I placed the order bylate Nov or early dec I might be ok for the late March April date...I fully understodd your explanation and the dealer that I work with (friends are the owners) will work with me as well as anybody ordering a car since it is done in a timely manner ...
