You are 100% correct ALL my Fords have done so,even my 05 Exppedition.....my 90 Toyota Corolla does it also....sooooo....I have learned to put my foot on the brake always...besides is there a warning that we drivers should use the trans or clutch when in an incline since it is detrimental to bot,trans and clutch?..I know it is an automatic tranny but I think it is the same principle....

.."high risk" means that instead of lets say 8 weeks one has to wait 12 or 16 weeks before delivery?..... or should I order towards the end of the year instead of lets say september?....please..I need some directions here from those that really know how the system works...thanks a million to all...

My problem is timing, I will try to time the 08 arrival with termination of my 05 Expedition lease (April 08), I am even willing to take a hit with a month or so since my monthly payment is very low. Any suggestions on this matter will be greatly appreciated...like based on my time table when should I place the order?...thanks again

I hear from other forums that the EDGE 2008 Limited is really going to be limited.....the SYNC is in short supply and since the LIMITED will have as standard item soooo...the Limiteds will be in short supply....I am planning on ordering one towards the end of the year so it coincides with the termination of my 05 Expedition. Anyone has any ideas on this subject,like how soon should I place an order..etc?... Thanks for any help

..when I hear you guys it makes feel good that I decided to stick to FORDS all these years. there is a following for FORD that I can not see on GM products,even on the vettes the folloing is not half as strong as it with the MUSTANGS.....and I am proud to say that this "old guy" (some one made a reference to an old guy being impressed by an EDGE...lol) owns a 1985 Mustang SVO (MCA concourse driven class). No car is perfect but I feel that there is something about FORDS that is unique...and that I think is "US"....just my 2 cents...

Sorry to be a pain, but is the reflection from the aluminum center dash or from the interior color...I don't think some of us understood my question...and if it is with the brushed aluminum center dask do you guys/gals think that one of those nice either gray or wood overlays will elimnate the problem with the glare?..

..thereus no charcoal dash that I know of...at least not in the USA...they are all sort of "brushed aluminum"....so the charcoal ( black) ineterios has not reflection on the matter (no pun intended) right?

cavlovc1,needs an attitude adjustment....those answers should not be tolerated in these forums...here the spirit is friendly and helpful towards all regardles how "smart" we are..... In Expi when i back up the beeping sound is loud but at the same time the radio gets lowered automatically..... do you hear this cavlovc1?.......

Here in Nj we have "hand car washes" place that actually have 2 guys with mittens doing the wash and then a blowing fan to semi dry it and finally 3 guys doing the final drying ...I tell you guys is the best a regular size car is $10.00...(car washes in the area are about the same)............in my case is $14.00 SINCE i HAVE AN 05 Expedition...oh God!!!!....I can't wait until the lease is over in April 08.....

I heard many complains about the glare from the top of the center dask. Is this still a real problem or is something that only affected some of us but not really an issue.... Can anyone shine in on this?..thanks

Are you sure about this rim?..shape and color?.....I am sorry but I don't think it does anything for your beatiful EDGE...but forgive me wheels are like evrything else, a matter of taste..enjoy them in good healt

...wait until you see the 2008 clors...no food here just plain colors...what a shame to have so many choices in 07 and be so very limited in 08....THAT alone may sway some buyers to the competition...

...As soon as I saw that EDGE it reminded me of the convertible Mustang ROUSH...incidentally ROUSH is going into the MKX and EDGE and producing amny good looking modifications...they will be coming soon ,as per the info on the ROUSH site,they do create beautiful mods for the Mustangs....

I recieve a mag from FORD called my FORD...and in this quater issue they feature the new SYNC system...it is part of the steering wheel...media nd phone besides it shows in the screen of the nav system...it looks cool and the 2 page article talks about the features and indicates that it will be available this fall and in thr 08 FOCUS,08 FUSIOn 08 TAURUS, 08 TAURUS X,08 EDGE, 08 EXPLORER,and 08 Sport Track...wish I could take pics and post them

It seems that most people prefer the hand wash method..so do I...but I wonder if that should be the ONLY method specially if one has the pseudo chrome plastic wheels...

...and to add to the discussion...here in NJ if you get stopped for a traffic viloation (er...speeding?), depending on the officer writting the summons you can actually get an additional ticket for "blocking info in the license palte"...around the edges (no pun intended) partially blocking the words New Jersey etc....it is $25.00 in addition to the corresponding speeding ticket or whatever ticket...
