  1. Trester is a good place to get parts cheap! I got most of my interior for my Ranger there (except the seats) I need to make another trip to see what new stuff the got in since I haven't been since fall. The last time I was there they didn't have any Edge or MKX but you never know what they will have. At least they still let you go back and look around unlike most places in the area. Good luck!

  2. How do I upload pictures from my computer to a post?

    Can't figure it out.

    thanks.

at the bottom of the post it has "Attachments" just below that is has a box that reads "Choose File" click on that box and it should open up your computer and you find the pic that you want to attach and click the blue box "Attach This File" and it should work.

  3. boy, about the time you did that, you should have also painted your calipers or got colored ones... that would be nice

I am going to paint them, just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit. I am not sure on what color to go with. I like red but might just paint them silver. I still have some red paint left over from my old Mustang and Explorer. I wish I could find covers for the Edge, I did see some for a Mustang but so far I haven't seen any for the Edge (do you know if anyone makes them ?)

  4. I just changed my pads and rotors about 2 weeks ago. I got the EBC red stuff pads and drilled/slotted rotors. My Edge is FWD but had the 320 mm front rotors. It appears that the 07-08 have the 295 mm rotors on the FWD (320 mm on AWD) and all models after 09 have the 320 mm. (at least this is what the company I got my rotors from told me)

EBC has specific pad brake in requirements. I am in the process of braking in the pads and almost have 200 miles on them so they are not quite broken in yet. (EBC pads come with detailed brake in instructions) I can tell a big difference already. I have used EBC pads on my 03 Explorer when I installed 20" wheels and noticed there was a big difference in the stopping distance, I used the EBC green stuff and drilled/slotted rotors and I was very happy with them on the Explorer so I knew they would make a difference on the Edge. I have the heavy 22" wheel option on my Edge. I weighed one of the wheels/tires when I had them off, they are 76 pounds each!

  5. I have always owned domestic vehicles, all new vehicles have been Ford, Lincoln or Mercury's since the late 70's, I have owned used Ford and GM products, have driven company vehicles from Ford, GM and Chrysler. out of all of the vehicles I have owned/driven I have only had 3 vehicles that I would say had problems/issues. Ford's quality has improved but I have not had may problems with them in the past. (the problem cars I had were a 1978 Pinto, 2002 Focus SVT and a company vehicle 1999 Windstar )

    I have a 05 Ranger with a 3.0 with 152000 miles that runs great !

  6. Here's the pic! I forgot to get pics from the other camera before the grill install and tint, but we've all seen stockers before... Soon, headlights and fogs will be smoked, and blacked respectively.

Now, I'm wondering if I should go with red brake calipers, or stay with the black theme... Waddya think?

    Nick

Your Edge looks Great !!! I think red calipers would look really nice with all the black.

  7. welcome to the site, I can't wait to see your Sport once it is lowered, I am thinking about lowering mine but I really want to see another Sport with the factory 22"s that is lowered.

I had a 05 Stang that I lowered and it was too low, I had to change out the springs and I don't want to run into the same thing again. lol.

  8. Hi all snoboy here. I am a memeber of various auto forums but new to this one. We are picking up my wifes new Edge today.

We picked a 2010 Red Candy Apple Limited AWD with 302a and class II tow package. Her friend has an Edge so she really fell in love with it.

She was reluctant to spring for the full nav package but I talked her into it. The red paint is really hot. I was very impressed with the handling and ride. I'll try and get a photo loaded after we pick it up.

    Snoboy

your new Edge sounds nice, I really like the red. I think you guys will enjoy your Edge, they are fun to drive.

  9. I was thinking the same thing but I haven't seen a 2011 in person yet, I did see the 2011 MKX and really liked it but I think you will still like the 10 Sport, once you see it with the 22" it really is different. There is plenty of power in the 3.5 (more is nice but is it really needed??) Like others have said let the new model be out for a while and get the bugs out (if any) and I would think there will be some kind of price increase on the 2011.
