Congratulations on your new Edge. I traded in a MKZ on my Edge and am still trying to get used to the differences, the biggest thing I am having trouble with is how wide the Edge is compared the MKZ. I do like that the Edge is a bit shorter as it gives me a little more room in the garage. I think the MKZ seats are more comfortable and I will miss the cooled seats next summer.

I wonder what it would cost to paint that Precision mesh grille black. I like how it looks. The painted Ford grille is also being looked at.

I think you would have chipping/peeling problems with a painted stainless steel mesh grille. It could be painted but something to think about is how well it would hold up.

i have tried to find the specs on the sport rear sway bar but haven't come up with any info.

I did some checking of part numbers and all the info I come up with list the AWD rear stabilizer appears to have the same part number for all models but no listing for the Sport

here are the part numbers that I found

AWD 7T4Z 5A772 BA (this is the same part numbers for 07-09 Edge and MKX AWD)

There are several part numbers for the FWD models depending on wheel size

08, 09 FWD with 17", 18" wheels 7T4Z 5A772 A

08, 09 FWD with 20" wheels 7A1Z 5A772 AA

09 FWD 22" wheels, N.A.

MKX FWD 7A1Z 5A772 AA

The AWD appear to have the same part number

EDGE & MKX AWD 7T4Z 5A772 BA

I just checked the part number on my Sport and the number on the tag is 7A13-5A772 AA. I think you need to see if someone can get the part number off of there AWD sport to see if it may have a different bar. I am not much help since mine is FWD.

a couple of things to think about, check the insurance rates on all 3. I don't know the rates of the MDX or RX330 but I found the Edge had a good rate (I went from a 07 MKZ to a 09 Edge Sport and my rates went down by a few dollars instead of being higher for the newer vehicle) . You will most likely spend more money on repairs on the MDX or RX330 as parts are not cheap on those vehicles and there service departments may have higher labor rates than a Ford Dealer (if you use dealers for repairs)

I am glad I am not the only one that feels this way, I thought it was because the MKZ I traded in had the HID's and I was not used to the halogens.

Just have to say that both my wife and I both LOVE the light blue (dont know name) that came on the 2010 Edge Sport and wanted that color on our Edge but didnt need the sport so couldnt get it. Oh well. Again just wanted to give props to Ford, and anyone that has the light Blue color.

I agree, I love the blue, my Dad just got a blue Sport Fusion, I wanted the blue sport Edge but they only had the red 09 leftover in my area so that's what I got. (not that I don't like the red)

that really sucks, I hate having any work done to my vehicles.

WHEN I GOT MY EDGE I TAPPED OFF THE BACK, SANDED WITH 400 GRIT, AND ROOLED ON BLACK HERCULINER ! ! LOOKS SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

once you get used to having heated seats it's hard to drive a vehicle without them. Unfortunately my work van and ranger dont have them. Stay warm out there.

I just picked up a Silver 2010 Edge sport, I was not able to get one with the navigation factory installed, I am looking to buy a factory head unit that will work with the Sync system.

Sometimes you can find them on EBay.

It is ridiculously cold out,(supposed to be -26f tonight, without the windchill), gotta love those heated seats!!!!

We just bought a 07 awd sel edge, and being a big gm fan, I am very happy with it so far! I do think it is missing a piece of rubber (or something) from the dash(maybe somebody on here can help with that) but it is in great shape, kids love the dvd, I love the heated seats! I will work on a pic and stuff soon.

Under the front lip and on the side their is some plastic that has to be cut or filed away. The only thing that is wrong is the location of the notch, the notch in the tray does not match up to the notch in the console of the Edge. But you can't tell when the lid is closed. I also used the chrome catch from the MKX lid, the chrome goes with the rest of the chrome on the console. Why Ford would use two different designs for the console is anybodies quess.

away way to get an MKX lid with the matching stitching as in the Edge seats

I don't know if there is one with the white stitching, that is the only thing that bugs me about the lid.

I hope the seat pan takes care of the noise, if the Edge seats are anything like the Rangers there really isn't much to them, seat frame, pan, cusion and cover. I guess the pan is the most likely cause of the noise.

as for the spoiler gasket, is there any way to push the gasket back under the spoiler without taking it off? did you show it to them?
