  1. Sounds good, plz keep us posted. I don't think I'm familiar with the "G-Force Sensor Module"?
  2. You know that did cross my mind. Whats warranty for then you know.
  3. When I looked online on what I thought it was it was $100. When I went to the dealer it was $50. So I knew I had the wrong part, and was sure I could get it cheaper online. I asked if it was covered under warranty, they told me "broken or missing parts aren't covered".
  4. Does anyone have the part number for this chrome piece? And a good place to buy it online. From what I understand its not covered under warranty.
  5. Funny on our 09 one is missing. And the other one was about ready to fall off.
  6. I'm not sure how Ford sends out a new motor. But if it has everything electoral I'd bet it'd fix it. But I don't think the motor has a mechanical problem.
  7. With 4,100 miles, you'd have to run some very poor fuel to affect a new motor. Unless your fuel had a lot of water in it. Low compression could be from lifter bleed down or dirty valves, again hard to believe with a new motor and that much gunk will never pass threw the injectors. I'd like to see that comp test on a cold then warmed up motor. Even with 2 low comp cylinders the motor should start way faster then in ten seconds. I'd bet you could even have 3 dead holes and still start faster then ten seconds. Either you got some really, really bad fuel or there is something electoral going wrong.
  8. I'm willing to bet a new motor isnt going to fix your problem. This really is a bad deal, how sad.
  9. BS. There are 24 lifters, there is no way all are sticking. Also the fuel you use has nothing to do with the lifters. If they ment injectors there are 6? You might get one even two to stick but all 6 bs. Could be something like a crank sensor, more likely to fail when warm, could be ignition coil. In fact odds are it's nothing to do with the fuel side of it. If when it started and it ran rough more then likely it was flooded. I'll bet it something on the ignition side of it. If it is on the fuel side then either you pump isn't coming on, or the regulator isn't working right. Low fuel pressure wont let the injectors work right. I also dont see why they cant do anything untell something breaks? Wherent they able to duplicate the problem? I'd say take it somewhere else.
  10. I haven't read this entire post. But you need to go to the Dealership and stand your ground. Talk to the service manager and don't let him out of your sight, make him call Ford with you right there. When hes done talking with Ford, take the phone from him and talk to who ever he's talking to and let them know the service your not getting and all that has been going on. Its always best to the talk the same person he is. If your not getting results talking to the same person talk to someone else untell you do get results. It doesn't take 2 weeks to figure this out, they simply aren't doing anything with your car its just sitting there, its that simple. Its just like any other service provider its all in who you talk to,some ppl will help and do there job others don't and don't care about there job. This really sucks and I feel bad for you,but your going to have to get ugly with this. If all this fails take it to another dealership, after all its your car.
  11. Sounds good. I'd like to lower ours just a tiny bit. But I don't want to affect the ride quality. Ours is on the soft side and thats fine with me. We don't have any curves around here so for me ride quality is number one.
  12. Yeah I was thinking it was a fuel issue also. I thought regulator first. I didn't know there was a check valve in the pump tho.
  13. Heres some with us at Pismo with our other 2 rides. Also with the Edge stuck :yup: Also with a little Modle T toy gocart that I rebuilt from the ground up.
  14. Ours dose the same thing every now and then. It cranks over fast like normal just takes a wile to fire and take off.
  15. What year did this update start? Or is there a VIN way of looking it up?
  16. I really like how our factory 09 rides. I tell my wifes its a bubble feel lol. I would like to lower it a little but I sure don't want it to rider different/harder. Back in 2000 I lowered my then new f150 in the driveway with Beltech springs, never liked how it rode after that. Where you able to just use common tools?
  17. Our 09 has great seats. We noticed when we where looking around some years had very hard seats others didnt.
  18. First find a new dealer. 2nd I cant see a reason for a motor tear down. I'm not sure about the edge motor but most solenoid's can be changed with out pulling the motor. My advice get an oil change then change it again around Miles then maybe, maybe again after 500 miles. Try to flush it out but odds are everything is fine with the motor and your solenoid is a separate issue. I guess there could be sluge messing with the VCT solenoid but I dought it. You really think your the only person to ever go 17k miles with out an oil change? Nope. Go back to the place you thought you had an oil changed, with your recite. You never know they might use an OEM filter. Even if you dont have your recite it cant hust to ask about the oil filter.
  19. Heres a link with some good info.http://www.tunersdepot.com/Ford_Edge_Lowering_Springs.htm I'd like to know witch ones you got? OE,Standard or Race drop? Also how do you like the ride compared to stock.
  20. I may do that with the pigtail, I havent looked to closely at it. I like that idea batter.
  21. I first want to say I didn't think this up. I got it from Hidden Hitches web sight. Also we wont tow but 2 times a year 1,500 lbs max. Our Edge didn't come with a receiver so we needed to add one. I knew I didn't want the receiver sticking out all the time for something getting used 2 times a year. I liked the clean look of the back of the Edge. So I bought the cheapest claasIII receiver I could find beings I'm going to cut it up anyways. Its a Valley brand that I got off Amazon for something like 125 shipped. The pic's speak for them self. I cut the receiver off and remounted it to the back side pointing down. It took me about 2 hours to cut it off theses things aren't meant to come apart lol. When I rewedded it I did add a few brace's and also an Anti-Rattler. I did also add a Curt wiring kit but I put the pig tail where the spare tire is and when we need it I'll just run it out the back hatch/door.The only thing I have left to do is make the hitch.
  22. I haven't done to much research but has anyone Dyno'd a before and after or seen a Dyno chart?
  23. Never had one clog. But you should be able to crawl under the Edge and either fish a wire up the drain or use some compressed air. I cant think of a reason it would clog unless you drive in a lot of mud or something of the like?
