I was having a remote start problem both before and after I have had a dealer installed NAV update. Sometimes it will work 5 or 6 times in a row other times it has failed 12 times in a row? It has been to the dealer several times with no real fix. Just like the manual says it beeps twice then wont start. Hard to believe that is all the manual says with no real direction as to why it would not try and start? Between this and several software issues(USB not always detected, privacy button causes radio to come on, liftgate wont always close(module schedualed to be installed), etc..). wlepse Posted June 23, 2012 Report Share Posted June 23, 2012 I would check the hood switch. When mine stopped working it was because the dealer took it our to do some work and forgot to install it. wlepse Posted June 23, 2012 Report Share Posted June 23, 2012 Yeah that sounds right...think the horn honked once and the hazards flashed three times or something to that effect. When I opened the hood my switch was missing. The switch should be mounted on the passengers side and it is a black plunger style switch.
