    update: I found something I missed last time. There is a "check auto lock" 1 thru 5. I disabled them all. Now all is back to what I wanted. No double honk on exit of cabin with keys. Double click for panic alarm No auto lock and no seatbelt chime for driver and passenger. We will see how long this lasts.

    Good question. I used the BdyCM module and ran it from there. Then double click on the setting to get the enable or disable checkbox. Then wrote out the changes which were successful. The changes were confirmed and stayed that way. But the vehicle went back to the old settings. I am a bit nervous dealing with binary and hex values.

    So it's been a week since I finally was able to change 4 of my 2016 edge settings using Forscan. Simple things like disabling auto locks and seatbelt chimes. I get into the vehicle this morning and all of them are reset to the original values. I drive it on a daily basis. For no reason that I can understand this car continues to amaze (irritate) me. So my question is: is this normal?

    they appear to be metallic on my 2016. try a 5.5 mm socket wrench.

    boring update but .. i persevered with my 2016 and was able to reach the fluid check cap with my left hand yesterday. tricky but no too bad for a medium sized guy. used a flashlight and had to push the radiator hose out of the way. twisted the cap off and cleaned and lubricated the o-ring. checked the fluid and noted it was full and pink and smelled like automobile perfume 😎

    i replaced my 2011 camera with a "less than 100" dollar camera from amazon. got great reviews and had an amazing picture .. so much better than the original. but 2 years later it had gotten fuzzy and not so good. this was parked in a carport. i sold the car so not sure how it is today. but i would try to get the best camera i could afford.

    so to be clear .. you removed the 2 screws at the top and the hose clamp. then the whole thing "sort of" lifts out? i have the exact same scenario and want to check my trans fluid.

    a fully charged 12v battery at rest is around 12.6 or 12.8 volts. but i have learned that these vehicles all have some level of parasitic draw. even staying alive waiting for you to unlock the doors takes something. but taking a battery down to 3.56 volts will definitely shorten battery life. i always turn the AC and wipers off before shutting the car down but that's just me.

    just an FYI. i had a rattle in what i thought was the cargo area. drove me crazy. finally found out that the bottom of the tag was not screwed tight and was vibrating on the hatch. the bottom 2 screws were missing. i see this is a duplicate post.

    I have also heard that the USB hubs can be USB version specific.

    The problem .. I think .. is the version of the USB flash drive. I went thru this and found that only USB 2.0 thumb drives work with my Sync 3 vehicle. I currently have a 32 GB thumb drive and it works fine. Downside is they are much slower than the new USB 3 drives.

    i have a similar rattle sound on my 2016 that i hear when driving .. starts at speeds over 55 or 60 .. not loud but can be irritating. it sounds like something may have fallen where it should not have? coming from what seems to be the area near or behind the monitor screen. i have banged and pushed to no avail. i have not checked the AC to see if it is coming from there.

    if image is upside down you probably need a new camera. i bought one from Amazon .. for my 2012 edge. it is so clear and better than the original. pain in the butt install. make sure all contacts are clean and sealed. still working after 1.5 years. i agree the camera should have been simple plug and play install .. but it is not.

    no ideas on how to do this. but i thought about running a connection from the battery for a small solar charger .. thinking that the cigarette plug is not always active.
